Video Report of Swedish Sub That Sunk The USS Ronald Reagan (Did China Use One To Fire Missile?)

Ever since WWII, America has been a dominant force upon the high seas. We have become so advanced in our military technology that the Soviet Union eventually collapsed, in large part because Ronald Reagan would not back down against them. In honor of his accomplishments and great leadership, congress named the worlds largest aircraft carrier after him, the USS Ronald Reagan

Thanks to Reagan, America has been able to set the standard for which other nations have wished to achieve. Well it has been 22 years since Reagan left office, and while we have been able to hold our status as the worlds most powerful military force the world has ever seen, those days could be coming to an end. Thanks in large part to the anti military sentiment that prevails in Washington, America is beginning to lose the battle of technological advancement.

What you will see in this video is a report about the HMS Gotland, a Swedish submarine that the US Navy says, "This could be the most dangerous submarine in the world". That's because naval ships cannot detected it until they are so close they would already have been sunk. Something that has happened in war games time and time again. Even our best and most powerful naval ships have been repeatedly sunk in mock war games. Check out this report by Chuck Henry of channel 4 news out of San Diego. Henry reports that the US Navy is attempting to figure out how to detect the Swedish submarine before our enemies can discover the secret of its elusiveness.

I am glad our navy is trying to figure out a way to detect this sub before a rogue nation like Iran or North Korea gets their hands on the technology for it. However, it should be other countries trying to figure out how to stop us and our equipment, not the other way around. Which brings me to the million dollar question, "Why are we even in this predicament"?

Well it begins with the fact that most Americans do not know that the US Constitution explicitly states that the number one job of the United States Government is to secure the borders of America. That's right. The founding fathers knew that it was incumbent upon the government to defend our interests on the high sees so that we have a fair chance of trade via the oceans and now through the air.

Too many Americans do know realize that the founding fathers never planned for the government to supply social spending for programs that would turn Americans into lazy unproductive citizens, who would constantly demand more of what they themselves are responsible for. Most of all, they never expected the government they created to be giving away our rights and money to people who are living illegally within our borders. The governments should be defending our borders from all who would do us harm, not defending the rights of illegals over the rights of citizens of this country.

When a sizable portion of the citizens of any nation puts out their hands and demands more and more from other Americans, who are fed up with the high taxation just to accommodate them, will inevitably fall from within. If we cannot stop the bleeding from within, then we will not have the funds needed to keep our military strong. When that happens we will be unable to defend ourselves from the likes of China, Russia or any other rogue nation hellbent on destroying us.

Like Johnson, Carter, and Clinton, before him, Obama is now in the process of destroying our military so that we will not be able to defend ourselves, thus ending our sovereignty. This is something the leftist have been wanting to see happen for almost a 100 years. The proof of our failures are right before our eyes. Now we just need patriotic leaders who not only recognize those failures, but are also ready to reverse the damage done by years of unconstitutional socialist spending that has left America vulnerable to attacks by our enemy's.

Well just this week we saw what could be a result of liberals having control of our nations pocket book and military. The recent news CBS video report (below) about the contrail that the military says was from a plane, but many are claiming to be from a missile contrail is what I speak of. Now this Swedish sub story becomes very relevant to the current debate about our military readiness.

What are the chances that China may have purchased a few, or stolen the technology for the type of submarine our Navy cannot detect? After, I have learned that diesel-electric subs from countries such as Norway and Australia have scored 'kills' on US and British ships in exercises. Maybe none as dramatic or as consistently as the Swedish sub, but it's not inconceivable that a Chinese Jin-class SSBN (Photo at op of article) could be modified to come close enough to a US carrier. Or at least close enough to our mainland to fire a missile into the skies so a news crew could film it.

Let's just say for arguments sake that China wanted to send a message that they own us economically, and with the idiot Obama in power they could also own us militarily. If I were China and wanted to send a warning shot over the good ship USA'a proverbial bow, then I would do it at a time when we are vulnerable. What better time than when Obama has high tailed it to India with 34 war ships in tow?

Think about it. America's MSM is still preoccupied with their take on the Democrats historic defeat and there is a whole the size of the moon in the Pacific where there was once 34 war ships. Perfect time to test fire a missile from a modified Jin-Class SSBN, just to see if you can. After all, the Chinese know that the Democrat propaganda machine, the MSM, will cover for Obama and lie to the American people even if they do find out. Besides, what's the worst thing Obama would do to China if he found out? Burn down his old neighborhood maybe, but he would never admit he was caught off guard. No, Obama's busy trying to figure out,

How can we blame this on George Bush?

Geez, anyone could tell you that the Ronald Reagan has not sunk, but is still floating *ABOVE* the waves.

And we aren’t at war with Sweden, because they haven’t attacked it in the first place.

What a mind-boggling stupid title for the article.

Has anyone bothered to recover the missile? I actually floated the idea of a missile being fired from a deisel electric operated by another country but upon hearing it, I think the possibility is remote. I think it was some kind of mistake or malfunction on the part of a U.S. Navy soldier. That’s the most likely explanation.

It has a Sterling engine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stirling_engine) - very quiet and efficient. The US navy has one leased from Sweden for a month at the Pt. Loma sub base to study ways of detecting subs utilizing this propulsion technology. In war games it came close enough to the Reagan to photograph it which counts as a kill.

maybe this guy's (blogger's) suggestion that China did fire one to see if they could,

OK, let's examine "if they could".

If it was just a systems test, they could launch just off the China coast.

Unannounced, in international waters off the LA coast would be a political test. Remember, a nation can launch unarmed missiles from international waters, as long as they are not trajectoried over another nation without permission. This would upset the US military to what purpose? Drive American influence out of California? Zer0 and the Rats have already done that for free.

China will take confrontational actions in the South China Sea, around Taiwan, the Yellow Sea, and Korea, but here it is clearly expected, within policy, and doesn't piss off anyone important.

China is becoming strong militarily, and intends to become much stronger, but she doesn't intend to move against US. She has already defeated us in business, and intends to continue doing so.

As far as a test of Zer0's weakness, China already knows he is weak, they don't need to test.

The only testing China will do is regarding removing US influence in the WESTERN Pacific.

If it was a missile fired by the Chinese (which I don’t think is the case)

You are correct, it was a regularly scheduled commercial flight from Hawaii to Arizona.

Additionally the Chinese attack was denounced by Zer0 on the front page yesterday. It was an ongoing economic attack on the US by China. They manipulate Chinese currency to remain artificially low in value. China has been sending a message printed on their money.

The Chinese navy have been using the ultimate form of Air Independent Propulsion on their subs-nuclear power for almost three decades. The kind of system the Swedes use is quieter than a nuke-boat but can’t last beyond a few weeks and can never go as fast.

The folks who argue that it was a Chinese missile over LA are not addressing some logical issues concerned with a such a venture. For one, a Jin-class boat has missiles with a range of 5,000+ missiles so there’s no point to get anywhere US waters. Second, what would have happened if the sub was detected or if the launch failed?? What would have happened if the missile malfuctioned and veered towards the mainland??? Commercial air activity outside LA is not thin either. The Chinese have been building such weapons for almost five decades now and know a thing or two of using their inland and oceanic test facilities.

The Chinese have been working on AIP for its conventional subs for several years now.

The Swedish Stirling system using liquid oxygen and diesel is considered less efficient than fuel-cell technology that the Germans and Russians have developed or are looking at.
