A part of me wonders if some of the “post 65” population will find their health BETTER WITHOUT some of the “care” they are getting.....NO, I do not mean surgery, and other life saving care, etc...I mean a few too many drugs prescribed....we have a friend whose husband is getting concerned because her doc just prescribes drugs for EVERYTHING (she’s 64)....and there are many other solutions she refuses to look into...

It’s the matter of fact way it’s portrayed that’s the most scary for me.

If we could exchange a VAT for the Income Tax, I’d be all for it, but you know politicians will add the VAT then go back on eliminating the Income Tax,

......and we’ll end up with both.

I would agree with you if they could also be motivated to acheive/maintain fitness and eat a proper diet and supplements.

Obviously a lot of the meds we are using are to compensate for lifestyle issues.

These people constantly come up with “solutions” that do not work.

Why believe they have it right now?

It’s called cut entitlement programs, cut taxes, stop killing small businesses, don’t steal our private retirement money, stop spending us into outrageous debt.

“VAT and Death Panels for Politicians They are useless and have never served any purpose so lets get rid of them.”

Do you realize how many people will agree with that statement?

A VAT is NOT a national sales tax, it is even worse. A sales tax takes place at the sale of the finished product, a VAT takes place at EVERY STAGE OF PRODUCTION...a great way to obliterate what manufacturing we have left.

Economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman says the only way the U.S. will get its debt crisis under control is by the use of "death panels" and a national sales tax.

I'm not in favor of killing off any group of people, but Krugman is correct, if all the progressives/liberals were killed off the nation would quickly recover from the debt crisis.

Here’s a death panel idea for you, Kruggie - how about all the freeloaders that have been living off other people’s wages for the last 45 years just drop dead. No more leeches, no more deficit. No additional taxes necessary.

Billy Ayers said that as many 25 million would have to be killed.

Fortunately, Ayers won't get to pick the 25 million. Hint - they'll more than likely be people that voted for "change".

Agreed. To an extent. They do eventually end up eating their own, though. It’s how Trotsky ended up with an ice pick in his head. One of Stalin’s “death panels” picked him out.

“Billy Ayers said that as many 25 million would have to be killed.”

That was when the population of the US was less than half of what it is today. I would imagine we’re talking 3 times that number with ‘inflation.’

I only wish I was being sarcastic.

But the “sarcastic” might be among the first targeted for extinction under Krugmancare.

This is not news: the Left, including Obama, has always endorsed death panels. Obama's protestations to the contrary, the panels WERE in the health care legislation until popular reaction KO'd them. Why have pro-death ghouls like Rahm Emmanuel's brother and the hard-eyed baby killer Sebelius on your health team if you don't buy into killing the inconvenient at the beginning and the end of life?

So a few million have to be sacrificed to achieve utopia.

Isn’t it worth to kill off people so they can get good health care?

liberals have an obsession with death.

Zenith Press Association

August 15, 2018
New York City

Former New York Times op-ed writer, economist and pundit, Paul Krugman, died today of complications from an infected ingrown toenail. Mr. Krugman, who was born in 1953, had just celebrated his 65th birthday.

Unfortunately, under the onerous provisions of the 2010 Universal Health Care Act, passed in the last year of the truncated Obama Administration, over half of the country’s physicians have abandoned the practice of medicine and care of patients. Most retired, cycled into pure research or found other occupations. Consequently, the increased wait times for patients to see a doctor for even the most serious conditions – in some cases up to 36 months – can run to 72 months for relatively minor health problems.

A family member – who wished to remain anonymous lest she be put on the “Do Not Treat List” at the Department of Death and Inhuman Services — declared that if his infection had been treated more promptly, Mr. Krugman, who was in otherwise good health, would have survived. Unfortunately, Mr. Krugman was over the cut-off age of 60 when the infection struck. Patients over 60 are listed on the “Non-Critical Condition List,” throwing them into the 72 month wait category.

Under the newly enacted Food Conservation and Recycling Act, his body was taken immediately to the Roosevelt Island Soylent Green processing facility.

I sort of have to give credit to Rush about the “shovel-ready” term, but sometimes I take credit for stuff Rush says.

Just as Dims advocate higher taxes for everybody instead of simply donating their own money towards reducing the national debt, Dims advocate death panels for everybody instead of just committing suicide themselves. Silly buggers.

Significant rationing will occur no matter who is in charge or what we term it. It’s guaranteed because such a high percentage of the post 65 population will be unable to afford healthcare in addition to Medicare.
I object to the use of the term, "rationing" for anything other than government-controlled supply limits.

That is, there is no rationing if the market is free and you pay for what you get. There is no rationing if you have an insurance plan, including a government-run insurance plan, and it does not pay for everything you want/need. Not even if you can't afford to pay out of pocket.

Rationing is when the government interferes with your ability to get more health care than the government decides that you "need" or "deserve" or is "cost effective." And the rationale for government insurance comes from the same impulse as the desire to prevent Bill Gates from paying a billion dollars for medical treatment for his family. The trouble with preventing that is that if nobody pays for expensive care, that care will remain out of everyone's reach for all time - but if rich people do pay for state-of-the-art care, a knowledge base will develop which will enable the cost of that level of care to be reduced. Let whoso thinks that is pie in the sky reflect on the fact that an American secretary today gets far better medical care that Queen Victoria did. Do you actually want to foreclose the possibility that your grandchildren will get medical care as much better than what you get now, as the medical care you get is superior to that which your grandparents got? Is the shadenfreude of preventing Bill Gates from getting better care than you do worth that? That is directly contrary to the mission statement of the Constitution:

secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity
and the explicit mandate of Congress
To promote the progress of science and useful arts
Paying for health care out of pocket is not "rationing."

hmm Death pannels:

1. You have accumulated too much wealth and you should die to allow redistribution of your estate via confiscatory death taxes. you must die.

2. Your care is a burden on society and the productivity of you “loved ones”’ ability to pay taxes. you must die.

3. you are not a protected political group. you must die.

4. you voted for reagan. you must die.
