John Cornyn took a lot of criticism for his handling of the NRSC, especially in the Florida race, in the 2010 cycle. Cornyn later admitted that he’d made a mistake in backing Charlie Crist over Marco Rubio in an open primary, and avoided picking winners in primaries through the rest of the midterm primary season. The end result was a pickup of six seats — enough, apparently, for his colleagues to unanimously confirm Cornyn as NRSC chair for another term:

I think you will find that Rubio is solidly in the “Jebbie” column.

John Cornyn is as worthless as a one-legged clothespin, a comparison actually too kind for that man’s treachery.

Let’s see...hmmm...where are some of the places Cornyn put the party’s power and money in 2008...

Charlie Crist.

Lisa Murkowski.

Mike Castle.

Mark Kirk.

Trey Grayson.

Bob Bennett.

Jane Norton.

Carly Fiorina.

Etc.

Any conservative that doesn’t get the picture is either being willfully blind, or they’re lying to you about being a conservative.

I wasn't being "mean" to the robo-caller. I was simply informing her why the Repub Senate Committee wasn't going to get one dime from me. I'm hoping that she has a piece of paper that she could jot down notes about why some people are refusing; but, then again, this is the RNC, so maybe not. Heaven forbid they should understand why we are angry at them.

Also, I am always a bit ticked when people get mad at you when you are a little frustrated with them when they call. I have a view of my phone as, well, my phone. I pay the bill. I did not ask the RNC Senate Committee to call me, they did that on their own. I can react in whatever way I see fit; and, if they (or you) are not happy with that, the solution is to not call me again. See, my phone.
