OCALA, Fla.Federal attorneys have asked a central Florida judge to revoke Wesley Snipes' bond if the actor is not granted a new trial for tax evasion.
Snipes did not attend the hearing Monday in a federal court in Ocala. His attorneys say he deserves a new trial because of jury bias in his 2008 conviction. They say two jurors are now accusing other jurors of deciding the case without hearing evidence. They also say prosecutors hid damaging information about a key witness.
Federal prosecutors on Monday said questioning those jurors about their deliberations would violate juror rules and intimidate future juries.
The star of the "Blade" trilogy faces a three-year prison sentence. Snipes has been free on bond while appealing.

There’re both too big to fail. Bailouts for everyone!
Jurors deciding the case without hearing evidence? Did no one notice them missing from the jury box?
Snipes should have been easily convicted, and such a conviction should have easily held up against appellate scrutiny. But, as is not unheard of, the prosecution made some mistakes, had some holes, and has now given the defense some room to maneuver, and perhaps even win on appeal. It's not unusual. In fact, it happens every day.
“Wesley Snipes’ bond if the actor is not granted a new trial for tax evasion...”
He can’t be guilty. He’s a Mooooovieeee starrr...and a minority one at that...
Always bet on black.
They should just let him go, after all, no jail can hold Blade. He’s half-vampire for Pete’s sake!
As far as I am concerned, anything you can do to avoid taxes is heroic. ALL taxation should come from the consumption side, either domestically, or a tax on imports. Keep it equal, but make those that spend pay it all. Any system that punishes savings, investments or wages is just stupid and NEEDS to be utterly destroyed.....Just my $.02.....
If I were on any jury deciding a tax case, my vote would always be Not guilty. Especially so if the accuser is the IRS.
Let it be a matter of record that I pay what I owe under the tax code as the majority of citizens and the courts see it. I do so out of fear, not out of duty.
I agree, the income tax is nothing but armed robbery and anything a person can do to get out of it is heroic.
This is the thing that really drives me to distraction. People, patriots all, are afraid of a little jail time for non payment of taxes, but profess strong physical action if tyranny presents itself. They will stand back and say “you first” with no intention of following. They come up with examples of citizens going to jail after years of getting away with it and they actually revel in the fall. With that said, the single best way to strangle the federal beast is to cut off their funding, but no one wants to pledge a few years in the pokey to slay this beast. Instead they talk of it being patriotic to fund the disease that is strangling us, the progressive income tax.
Me too, I actually walk the walk :)
