MARION -- The eyes of the GOP are now set upon the potential candidates for the 2012 Presidential race. Many names of viable candidates have been thrown around in this discussion. Names like Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Mike Huckabee, and multiple others have been mentioned.
However, one name that continues to stand apart form the crowd of names is Sarah Palin. The ex-governor turned political king and queen maker has used her popularity to make a large amount of money since leaving the governors office of Alaska.
Sarah Palin now travels around the country giving speeches at rallies and events for sums that are estimated to be more than $100,000 per event, according to an ABC News story written in April. She has written a book entitled Going Rogue that earned her a $7 million advance. Not to mention her new $1 million per year contract with Fox News.
Put it all together and youve got a happy ex-governor from Alaska that could care less about getting into the White House.
First of all, I think Sarah Palins reception to criticism is too faulty to take on the day-to-day challenges of being the President of the United States. If she couldnt take the criticisms associated with being the governor of Alaska, how can we say that she would be able to take the criticisms from the White House, which are a million times worse than those of Alaska?
Also, Sarah Palin doesnt have the experience or the knowledge of political issues needed to sufficiently manage the highest office in the land. Without trying to knock anyone, a communications degree from the University of Idaho doesnt adequately prepare a person for the office of the President. A viable presidential candidate in my opinion should have at least some background in the study of politics or law, or at least enough experience in politics to compensate for the lack thereof. Let me remind you that the last US president to lack such an educational background as mentioned was none other than George W. Bush, a History major and MBA recipient at Yale and Harvard respectively.
Palin would find it very difficult to handle the technical details of legislation and decision making without the necessary background or experience.
But ultimately, the cash that Sarah Palin is raking in will be the top reason that she will keep her name off the ballot in 2012.
She is living life to the fullest at the moment and she does not plan on cutting this experience short. Well at least not any time soon. I think that she is satisfied with her current position as an influential political player in the conservative world, but without having to deal with the stresses of holding office. As far as running for office, Sarah Palin is probably done. But she will remain in the forefront of conservative politics as a figure with both influence and finances like a Karl Rove.
As far as the presidency goes, Palin is admittedly unqualified. But I am sure that Democrats around the nation are hoping that she suddenly has a change of heart and chooses to run for the office in 2012.
If she does choose to run, this could mean a fairly easy re-election for President Barack Obama.
LOL. If she runs she will win in a landslide and people like the author of this article will completely lose it. Maybe their heads really will explode!
Once again, they tell us whom they fear the most.
If truly believe Palin haven’t made up her mind yet. If the situation present itself, Palin will run. If the atmosphere is not ready for her, she will not and wait for 2016
PDS will outstrip BDS in # of persons infected. ...if it hasn’t already.
You forgot the “projectile vomit” alert.
I’ve never seen such a coordinated effort against a potential candidate in my life. Absolutely stunning (and frustrating) to watch. It’s like they’re all infected, or programmed with a chip.
There’s no talking to them. Even if you whip their ass in a debate they just spew insults and run.
Sometimes I feel like I’m in a bad zombie movie swinging my bat at any of them that get near.
I trust Sarah Palin !Does anyone trust, even slightly, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, et al.; or even guys on our side like Huckabee and Romney? For me the answer is a resounding NO.
But I TRUST SARAH.
“A viable presidential candidate in my opinion should have at least some background in the study of politics or law, or at least enough experience in politics to compensate for the lack thereof.”
I agree but it doesn’t have to be from an Ivy League university. In fact, someone from an Ivy League school is more likely to push for Keynesian economic solutions.
Just goes to show you that people don't want to understand her and would rather run with fabricated narratives and preconceptions.
Imagine how many more will be “awake” two years from now with 25% or more unemployment, 15% a year inflation, food and welfare riots, dozens more lavish vacations by Mr. & Mrs. Obama and on and on....
Lots of presidents weren’t lawyers. And just what does this guy think she was doing while on the city council, the energy commission, the mayorship and governorship? And what’s wrong with a state college? Most college-educated Americans get their education at state schools. Many of the better presidents never went to college, for that matter.
The writer is two years out of high school—and it shows.
The writer is delusional. Bush lacked experience in politics??
Look how this kid billed himself in his byline in July:

Dumb azzed attacks like these are what placed Palin where she is.
If these stupi bastids had left her alone she would be Governor of Alaska and out of their hair.
These idiots created Sarah Palin and they help her every day with more idiocy like this.
Y'know, that is a VERY interesting take on the subject. I hadn't thought of it that way before, but I think you're right on target. If they had left her alone instead of deluging her with fake ethics complaints, she would likely have gone back to "just being governor of Alaska" instead of being virtually FORCED to run for president. LOL....hoist on their own petard.
I think she would be an excellent president.
Especially considering we now have the worst president we have ever had in 234 years.
But I’m not too sure she should take the pay cut, all the grief and subject her family to more leftist garbage slinging.
She can probably do more for the conservative movement and damage libtards more working as a free agent, just as she has been doing.
Maybe she should become Secretary of State!
