Republicans gained at least 59 House seats in the Nov. 2 election, but they are positioned to win more. While Democratic incumbents hold leads in two of the seven still-contested races, they trail in five others, with thousands of ballots still to be counted.
Here is POLITICO's list of House undecided races:
Illinois 8th District
With local election officials completing their count of absentee and provisional ballots, Republican Joe Walsh is hanging on to a 290-vote lead over Democratic Rep. Melissa Bean. Bean is scheduled to address the results in a Wednesday conference call.
Texas 27th District
Republican Blake Farenthold holds a 792-vote lead over Democratic Rep. Solomon Ortiz, as election officials on Tuesday began their manual recount of the ballots cast in the race.
North Carolina 2nd District
Republican Renee Ellmers continues to maintain a 1,489-vote lead over Democratic Rep. Bobby Etheridge. The North Carolina secretary of state's office begins its recount on Wednesday a process that is expected to be wrapped up on Thursday.

Nothing would be better then Bean’s loss. This nasty nag has got to go.
Voter fraud by the Democrats is always a factor in close races. Republicans need to fight and win all 7 of these elections.
What’s taking so long? They don’t make ballots like they used to.
There is probably a block of illegals voting in the two CA districts, 11 is the SAN JOAQUIN area and spreads out south / east and west just below Sacramento, and 20 is southeast of Merced going down through Fresno and Kern to Bakersfield. Not really conservative areas.
So much for modern technology.
In any case I see it is down to 6. Melissa Bean has conceded! So 2 weeks after election night we keep winning. That makes a gain of 60 so far. If the other Republicans who are ahead all win then it should be a pick up of 64. Not bad.
Not sure why the MN gov. race is still out. The Dem leads by 10,000 votes and Politico says 100% of the votes are counted. Overall the GOP apparently will have a net gain of only 5 governors. That is a disappointment.
I think that League of Women Voters’ debate moderator hag was one of the reasons Bean lost.
Just announced she lost Walsh won
