In which town do you live? I live in the 10th District (Northfield). I read that State Sen. Link said that the new republican congressmen, Bob Dold, Joe Walsh, Randy Hultgren, Adam Kinzinger, and Bobby Schilling, shouldn’t sign any long-term leases, on Washington, DC, homes, since Link will try to ensure that, in the next map, the majority of those five will lose. I haven’t read any details about the new map. They’ll probably draw it in March or April.
I was always partial to “Ordinary Average Guys” myself!
I believe Illinois is set to lose one house seat. They’ll be able to gerrymander a bit and could cost one of them their seat, but it would be hard to make ALL of those districts that much more blue. Probably Walsh’s seat or Dold’s seat will be eliminated and the other will be drawn to be more Democratic. It was really too bad that Pat Quinn narrowly beat Brady.

Ah! Thanks for that - now I remember who Joe is and the league w/that famous ‘we have no plans to say the pledge’ and the people stood up anyway and said the pledge. And the commie was offended.
