We now live in a world where Politics is part of entertainment. Geeez, who would ever think of abusing the ballot to make a contestant win? Only the Tea Party of course. s/.

There is a strong movement afoot to discredit Sarah Palin AND make Free Republic look like a cheap gossip blog.

And that movement is headed by and supported by FReepers who literally post thousands of posts each week about Dancing with the Stars.

It’s FReeping embarrassing. And Jim Rob should stop it.

Bristol is not a very good dancer

If it were really about who was the best dancer, they wouldn't be letting the public vote.

Bristol is not a very good dancer.

And this matters because...?

I understand the background for your comment: true movement conservatives (a group supposedly the main constituent population of FR) would support the best, regardless of other considerations not directly bearing on the problem. But, TV is a wasteland which should be accorded the respect and defence it deserves: exactly none. Anything one can do to display the emptiness, moral vacuity, philosophical nihilism (when any kind of intellectual consistency is even approached) and general dumbed-down blather of TV is for me a real plus.

So, you go, Bristol!

George Bush tried the “remain dignified” approach.

It didn’t work.

IMHO this is exactly how to deal with the left.

This is obviously false since we ALL know the TP Movement is nothing but a few weirdos living in the mountains who cling to their guns and Bibles.

The Internet's been buzzing with talk about how members of the U.S. Tea Party movement have been getting out the vote for Bristol Palin on Dancing With the Stars.

So? Thousands of drag queens and queers kept voting for Prince Poppycock on America's Got Talent. Whatcha point, bub?

I wish the voting was not part of the show. Seems to make it more of a popularity contest rather than a display of mastering a skill.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama each won an Emmy Award for "Best Spoken Word Performance", for their wooden readings of their horrible books. Michael Moore and Al Gore won Best Documentary Oscars for their overtly liberal and largely fictional movies.

Bristol Palin, OTOH, has been subjected to the most humiliating, over-the-top media attacks ever launched at any American teenager. If the left didn't insist on demonizing her and her mother and her baby and her brother from day 1, she would be as obscure today as Geraldine Ferraro's kids.

Unfortunately Brandy lost because of her partner, Max. He’s a total a$$hole.

I've never watched the show but if voting for SP’s daughter makes liberal’s heads explode I will be sure to do this... as often as possible.

I hope RATs and RINOs enjoyed Bristol’s win last night as much as I did. Just another message sent to Elitists from We The People.

I hope Pelosi and Zero were watching.

I watch the show and my votes went for Kurt Warner loved him as a football player and he is an example of a good Christian husband and father. After Kurt was voted off I was going to vote for Jennifer Grey but all I heard was people blasting Bristol and conservatives so I decided to vote for Bristol. She is a young shy young lady who is NOT in politics and has worked hard to get even close to those who are in show business and use to performing in public in some manner. It was great to see her blossom into a woman with more confidence in learning how to perform in public. I applaud all of the people involved for their hard work but it’s about the scores of the judges and the people’s favorite clear and simple. For those who do not like the judging change the channel! These same people who whine like babies, people it’s a TV show, are the same people still crying when Bush won the Presidency. Max, Brandy’s dance teacher and partner said people having a vote was one of the reasons he and his family wanted to come to this country!!! But the left doesn’t want anybody but themselves to have a voice, they reek of Marxism and being POOR LOSERS!

Guys, Im not sure she wants to win. SHe is not her mother, I think she is tired and a little overwhelmed by all of this. If you saw the show last night she was very sad for Brandy. A couple of shows ago she was crying saying she was tired and missed Tripp. I hope we are doing the best thing for her keeping her in.

On another note, she did sign up for this.

Torn, I guess. lol. Guess Im in the mushy middle (Oh NO)

As always, the liberals have their priorities straight...Dancing with the Stars, plastic bags, third hand smoke, myth-made global warming. They always tackle the most pressing issues of the day.

Really? You think Sarah Palin should “go Hollywood” and get her name and face plastered in all the gossip rags?

Suuurre. That’s very Presidential.
