JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) -- Alaska's Republican party is asking nominee Joe Miller to concede the U.S. Senate race to incumbent Lisa Murkowski.

State GOP chair Randy Ruedrich says the party "stands ready to embrace" Murkowski as "Alaska's only Republican U.S. senator." He called on Miller to respect the will of the voters and to "end his campaign in a dignified manner."

So much B/S! Did Murkowski not sign a statement she would back the nominee in the Primary.

Clearly, her word is NOT her bond!

Also, I find her recent comments about hoping dear leader succeeds and Sarah Palin being uninquisitive vvvvvvery troubling!!!!

My heart breaks for Alaska, and I hope Miller will demand a recount!!

She will demand her pound of flesh from Tea Party supporters. If the GOP accedes they are finished.

Screw the AK GOP. Take it to the very end Joe! You’ve found the corruption, fight it. Sometimes good does triumph over evil.

Why??

I could understand if this were a Primary - 'Party Unity' and all that rot... Get behind the Primary victor to win the General Election... Yeah, kind of like what Murkowski did... Oh that's right - she fought 'Party Unity' tooth and nail.

Its an uphill battle, but I hope Mr. Miller fights this one to the last bullet.
And to the Alaskan GOP Party: Where were you when it was proper to ask Murkowski to drop out of the race? When she had lost the GOP Primary?

If I was him, then I would say something like, “we have men and women that are fighting overseas for our nation. The very least we can do is wait until we have counted all of their votes instead of ignoring them”.

For Joe Miller, stress, lies and politics tainted his borough job, records show

"...Miller has long been a political crony of former Gov. Sarah Palin, and in March 2008 was assisting in her effort to get Randy Ruedrich booted as the Alaska Republican Party's chairman -- a political takeover that ultimately failed.

Palin and Ruedrich had been at odds before, famously in 2003 when Palin, then an Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission commissioner, discovered that Ruedrich, also a commission member while state GOP chair, was conducting Republican business out of his state office. She exposed Ruedrich's ethical lapses -- forcing him to resign and resulting in a $12,000 state ethics fine -- and then used her reputation as a corruption fighter to bootstrap her way into the governor's office..."

Ruedrich is dirty and a long time enemy of Palin and Miller. His call for concession is BS.

Not to hijack the thread, but I wonder how the thinking Alaskans that voted for the cow feel about that vote now that it looks like earmarks are going to be cut-off, anyway?

Mr. Miller will have to let us know #1 if he’s going to sue, and demand a recount, and #2 what we can do, and how much he will need.

Why? What are they afraid of? Did they ask murkowski to concede when she lost the primary? And have the military ballots even been counted?

Why didn’t the corrupt bastards in the Alaskan GOP ask Moocowski to stand down and support Miller?

I think I remember seeing this guy’s name in “Going Rogue,” but unfortunately the book doesn’t have an index, so I can’t immediately check it.

I gather, however, that he is a part of the Dirty Bastards Club, and is an enemy of Palin and Miller.

Here’s an informative article suggesting that, which I found by searching for his name, from back in 2008:

http://www.juneauempire.com/stories/030908/sta_255333530.shtml

Pretty clear that this guy is part of the problem.

She's a liar like a whole lot of the republican party. I sure hope Miller doesn't concede. He's got a lot more people behind him than he thinks.

By the way. Read that whole article. It quotes Palin as laughing because Ruedrich neglected to list her name on the Republican Party website after she became Governor.

Ruedrich said he “forgot.” But he didn’t forget to list Frank Murkowski earlier.
