Judicial elections generally don't gain much notice, but one such race in California has drawn national attention as it prepares to place the country's first openly transgender judge on the bench.

Victoria Kolakowski, who had a sex-change operation in 1991, has declared victory in a highly contested election for the Alameda County Superior Court.

According to the final, uncertified tally, the 49-year-old has defeated rival John Creighton, with 162,082 votes to his 152,546, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

"There's never been a transgender judge that anyone we know is aware of," said Geoff Kors, executive director of Equality California, a gay rights group, though Kolakowski had served as an administrative law judge in the state.

Another pervert that the “media” wants us to be proud of. We “made history” again. This “history” crap is starting to get old and tired. IMHO.

"According to the final, uncertified tally, the 49-year-old has defeated rival John Creighton..."

the 49-year-old "what" has defeated...

Even the newspaper writer has difficulty forming sentances describing the person. "It", "She", "He",..whatever...

I’m confused...

How is someone “openly transgender”?

What does one do to be “openly transgender”?

At least the Louisiana State Bar Association had the
the sense to reject her application to take the bar as she was not of a sound mind.

What does one do to be “openly transgender”?

Well, it either means:

1. The person fits in so well in society in being a woman so that people can't tell she was not born a woman, but she is open about being transgender and not a natural born woman.

Or

2. She cannot pass in society undetected as a woman - her physical characteristics or voice or mannerisms give her away.

You can watch this video here and guess which one applies:
