On Star will just pony up a pile of cash to the right politicos and have their device written into the legislation as permissible.

The golden age of the auto industry was from around 1990 or so through 2002-2004. The cars built during this period were safer, more powerful, more luxurious, and more reliable than any other. If you take a well kept car from that time period it will be a nicer drive overall than many of the vehicles sold on the market today.

In the case of the Jeep Wrangler it goes to 2006. Proven 30 year old straight six engine with plenty of torque, solid metal bumpers, metal grill, metal fenders, heavy sheet metal on body, etc. From 2007 model year on; plastic grill, plastic bumpers, plastic fenders, thin sheet metal and a V-6 mini-van engine, because the older straight six engine no longer meets current emission standards.

In 1974 the Feds mandated that all new cars not be capable of being started without the occupants all being belted in. So just to back your car out of the garage you had to “buckle up.”They also had nifty “ass detectors” that picked up your six pack as a passenger. These abortions had to have a switch installed by the dealers under the hood that allowed the system to be bypassed in case of a failure. In 1975 this “feature” had been eliminated by “popular demand. Then there was that Nixonian mod that limited the upper number on your speedometer to 85MPH” My guess is that if they try to implement this “cell phone enhancement, it will befall the same fate. This idiot LaHood doesn’t know just how close to mutiny the troops are at this juncture or he’d keep his mouth shut.

She died and her will was that she got buried in her Cadillac.

The Cadillac didn’t die until they planted it with her in it.

Guess that’a what you call true love!

So how will you call to report drunk driver like the signs ask you to do.

I don’t see how this is possible.

"Ray LaHoodlum is a Republican....."

Anyone who eagerly went to work in the thug administration of the Capo of All Capos and remains there is not a Republican, he's a criminal, a subversive and needs the salary.

I was heading north on the interstate when I spotted a car that was on fire in the emergency lane of the south bound lane. I made a 911 call on my mobile and before I got to the the next exit, I saw the rescue vehicle coming down the ramp toward the car.

I suppose that will not be possible now.

As much as I hate people driving & yakking on the phone, I hate government intrusion even worse.
