Go to LA TV station old news video for interviews of both pilot and others.
Also, use your common sense.
The radar track shows it flying over Santa Catalina island, which is significantly south of the area where the missile was sighted.
The NOTAM area was south and west, which was outside of the area where the missile was sighted.
I have and here are the only two interviews with the pilot, Gil Leyvas, that I have found. "Others" aren't the pilot and that is who you made the claim about. The pilot did not say what you claim he did unless you have another interview with him than these.
Actually, the exact words of cameraman Gil Leyvas in this CBS 2 TV Los Angeles news broadcast of Nov. 9, regarding the object Leyvas filmed on Nov. 8:"It was unique, it was moving, it was growing in the sky. As I zoomed in I used a two-times extender on the lens to get a closer look, and you could tell that the object, whatever it was, was spriraling up in the sky. You could see the clouds were kind of swirling and as I zoomed in and got tighter on it, it appeared that it was spinning and going in a westerly direction.
"Well, I realized that it was something that we saw earlier from the week before -- we saw something very similar the past Thursday, and immediately I realized that it was something very similar, and called on the 2-way there to our assignment desk to let them know that we were seeing it again. It's not as dramatic as the one from yesterday -- the one from yesterday was pretty spectacular. Like I said, it was growing in nature and continued to fly up into the sky, and at one point it seemed to separate. The smoke or the plume seemed to stop and then continue further up in the sky and then finally disappear."

Flight AWE808 was over Catalina Island at 17:01:39 on November 8th. Then crossed over the California main coastline at 17:06:00.

A guy on the radio found a NOTAM that was not posted in the regular place. He was a pilot and poked around and found it.
Well, according to GIL’s VERY OWN WORDS, the same thing happened before.

The way I read it, there had to have been THREE different Missile launches of ICBM’s.
OK, I’ll take your word for it. I haven’t seen it posted on FR yet.
If World Nut Daily is saying its a missile, it was almost certainly an airplane.
If World Nut Daily said the sky was blue I would take it with a grain of salt the size of Hillary Clinton’s arse at this point.

I used to live in a 3rd apartment on Point Fermin. I saw Catalina Island everyday from my bentwood rocker on my front patio. I also saw jet contrails like the one in the video quite often. When you first see them, your mind says “that is going straight up and flying away from me.” Then you watch it and finally realize that the plane is flying (relatively) toward you. The illusion is created because the earth is round. We know the earth is round intuitively, but we don’t use this knowledge regularly to process what we are seeing.
An object flying at constant altitude appears to be flying in an arc. The contrail width is greater where it emerges over the horizon and narrower at the plane which makes you think it is going away from you; that you are closer to the “base” of it.
FWIW, I’ve also see the sun glistening off the bottom of a plane. This phenomena is most prevalent when the sun has gone below your horizon.
