Did you read the FR comments from the guy who worked at Cape Canaveral for 30 years?

He said “missile”.

Warren took his first photo at 5:19 and his last photo just before 5:24.

Then he wasn't taking pics of UPS902.

UPS902 was over Catalina Island at 17:31:33. Its altitude was ~ 30,000 feet. It was 35 miles south of Long Beach at 17:33:01. Altitude ~ 29,000 feet. It was then 20 miles south of Costa Mesa at 17:34:29 at ~ 29,000 feet. At that altitude should have been contrailing the whole way. Never got close to Long Beach. Traveled south of FallBrook and started major descent then. Turned north and was at 11,100 feet over Hemet heading north. No way it could have been that plane. Check it for yourself. Go to the website below. Set the date for November 8th 2010 time 17:30 . Set the replay speed for normal. Hit Start Replay. Make sure you are not paused. Planes will show up in a few seconds. UPS902 will appear on and off south of Malibu at 17:30:11. It flew way south of Long Beach at about 30,000 feet. No where near the setting sun with respect to looking south from Long Beach.

Airport Monitor Bob Hope Airport

And where is that contrail of awe808 which flew almost the same path exactly one half hour earlier?

Why is the track of UPS902, as supplied by FlightAware.com, perpendicular to the path of the contrail?

For the same reason that this set of power lines appears to be nearly vertical: Foreshortening.

That's also the same reason an airliner contrail I saw today appeared to be a few degrees off vertical even though the plane was definitely parallel to the earth. It was close to sunset so I even got a flash of "fire" for part of the "ascent." No camera at hand, though.

As for the "different locations" in your other post, that's the result of different zoom settings. This is discussed on this page. And here are Warren's original photos in a zip file.

It was an airplane. The reason the generals think it was amissile is most likely because they've been watching edited news reports.

Proof here.

Foreshortening does not explain why the contrail is at a right angle to the projected flight path. LOL

Call him over here so he can see my links. Or point me to him.

You seem big on appeals to authority. The problem is appeals to authority don't negate the evidence that proves it was not a missile.

Obviously the "spiraling ICBM missile" depicted in this photo had a dud warhead since it clearly flew into the top of that mountain and didn't explode. It took a 30 second google search under "sunset, contrails" to discover that this country has been attacked by multiple "ICBM missiles" over the years.< sarcasm off >

If anyone is really wondering what an ICBM launch would look like from a distance away, do a search on Youtube for minotaur rocket launches. The Minotaur is based on Minuteman and Peacemaker missiles (both ICBMs). After watching the videos, compare the rocket fuel trail to what is pictured in the CBS video. Here's an example: Minotaur Launch from Vandenberg viewed from Santa Barbara

Then why do the contrails all match up in size in the overlaid pic? The point is that the contrail changed shape and position quite a bit and the vehicle also move a good deal south yet it made little forward progress in that time. Is the wind blowing the contrail and the plane south faster than the plane is flying east? Really?

Did you really just write both of those sentences one almost after the other? lol

The plane is not moving in that direction because it is being blown by the wind, it's moving in that direction because the flight path it's following takes it in that direction.

As for the idea that this was photoshopped, the problem is that they'd have to fake the Flightaware data, weather from a GOES weather satellite and a shot from a webcam at LAX that also matches up with the Flightaware data for UPS 902. Oh, and then they'd have to come up with a fake photo of a similar contrail the next day and fake the video of said contrail floating about on YouTube.

Check out all the stuff on this page. Redundant confirmation even without Warren. Then look at this page for a ton of "missile launches" that are contrails, including on from New Years that couldn't be more clearly a missile launch...except it's a jet.

Why did millions of people fail to notice this obvious missile launch on the 8th, including scores of pilots in the air? Because from most angles it must have looked to them like a jet contrail, just like the one on New Years looked like a jet contrail from all but a small cone.

Didn't pass logic class, did you?

An appeal to authority is saying something must be true because some big poobah believes it. Such as "Compound X is the best cancer medicine in our tests, because Dr. Poopenmeyer says it's the best" or "It's a missile because an Air Force General says so."

I was appealing to evidence. An appeal to evidence would be something like "Compound X is the best cancer medicine in our tests because it increase the survival rate buy twice as much as any other" or "It's a missile because you can see a stage separation at 1:39 on the video."

Since the links I was providing contain evidence, not poobahs, I was appealing to evidence. It was as if I was a lawyer and said, "Send that guy to me and I'll show him the photo that proves my client's alibi."

So, yeah...you were way off.

.10 clear separation
.13 TWO clearly visible contrails
Someone explain to me what is going on between .09 and .30

because I have never seen a jet separate into stages.
And Hardraade, it looks like a missile that malfunctioned to me as well. This is the first time I have done a second by second, frame by frame look. The only point we might disagree on is where. It wouldn’t have mattered where. obumma had his emergency government ready to go.
The guys at NORAD and NorthComm were caught absolutely flatfooted by this. I bet it takes them a month to clean the pee and poop off the floor and laundry. It was too close for them to respond in any way whatsoever. Had it NOT malfunctioned, we would be looking straight into the abyss.
Pull that vid down and break it up into frames from .09 to .16.
We came THAT close.

Monday Morning
For the past three days, the giant cruise ship Carnival Splendor — with a small city of nearly 4,500 passengers and crewmembers aboard — has been without power 55 miles off the coast of Punta San Jacinto, disabled by an engine fire Engine-room fire on cruise ship leaves passengers marooned at sea
5:41 PM November 8, 2010
The blaze erupted about 6 a.m. as the 952-foot luxury liner was about 55 miles west of Punta San Jacinto on the first leg of a seven-day Mexican Riviera cruise that departed from Long Beach on Sunday.
I trained at Long Beach. TONS of cargo containers are off and onloaded there.
So can I be forgiven if I say that an engine room fire on a cruise ship the size of a small town with 4500 people on board on THAT place at THAT time is a tad too coinkidink for me to swallow?

Look. You can spit into the wind all you want to. They have tried to float THREE separate planes as the “one” making the “contrail.” ALL of them were wrong.
AND you are ignoring the geopolitical realities that are swirling all around this handy-dandy made for martial law plan which was clearly thwarted and which clearly threw el presidente off his stride.
You are also ignoring the fact that there are reports of cartels smuggling drugs into SoCal via minisubs which have been very successful.
Then there is the Venezuelan connection to Iran whose little tin god was just there, and you have just exactly the kind of lunatics who would dare to try a stunt like this.
“Experts” notwithstanding, China is NOT insane enough to risk an all out nuclear war just to “send the putzident a message.”
Then there is the convenient engine fire on the cruise ship that just happens to be right in the path a sub moving from South Anerica would follow up AND back.
AND YESTERDAY no less than THREE engine fires on Delta flights within a 12 hour period.

There are patterns evolving here that ought to frighten even the hardiest types. Our enemy is absolutely determined to kill is any way they can. To overlook these attempts is suicidal. Tony Shaffer can testify to that.
You can call me any number of names you wish to. None of them will change the facts.

They state right now it was a plane and they got it wrong. They agree with the line out of the pentagon. Which is run by Obama. Whats your point ? That Obama caught them in a lie ?

Was looking at the Bob Hope Flight monitor and trying to find that plane/helicopter shown in front of the missile. Only thing I could see that was not labeled as a medium to large passenger airline, was a E120 plane. Saw no Cessna's or Helicopters in that area. Image of that plane is below. Could it be this plane type ?

Uh, you realize Southern Californian is lined with mountain peaks in excess of 7,000 feet, in addition the fact that in this region at ANY given time there are probably a dozen news coppers and fixed wing aircraft in the sky...

FYI - Plane contrail at that point was at 33,000-36,000 feet. That is higher then Mt Everest. Also looking at the bottom of the supposed contrail from the perspective of the helicopter crew.

Excellent post. Unfortunately it is wasted on the Mystery-Missile crowd, as one rule of conspiracy theory is that contrary evidence is just seen as proof of a still-larger conspiracy.

In other words, the New York picture is just proof the Chi Coms, Iranians, MSM, FreeMasons etc have also launched secret missiles from secret submarines ON THE EAST COAST TOO!!!!!

While we’re talking optics, how did a guy manage to photgraph this SLBM five minutes after launch with a $900 Nikon and no telephoto gear?

Wow. Someone nailed the exact launch time down to a few seconds. Please provide a link. That is important information.

Right at the beginning of the vid, you can see the remnants of an earlier airliner contrail on the same flight path.

Looked and could not see it. Important information if true. Only one other plane possible. AWE808.

But the Club-K can be fired from a torpedo tube as well as from containers. And there is a huge range of Iranian missiles, some of which may be able to be fired from a tube and carry a significant payload.

Russia Will Equip Iranian Subs with Missiles

Excerpt mentions Club-S at least. They are refurbishing the Iranian subs however.

Also, the new anti-ship missile complex Club-S with the target distance of 200 km will be installed on these subs. The refurbishing of each sub would be done under the contract which costs anywhere from $80 to $90 million.
