Skip to comments.Jindal: Obama told us not to criticize him on TV

In an interview this morning on Glenn Becks radio show, Bobby Jindal said that at a meeting with the President during the gulf oil spill, that he and the President of Plaquemines Parish were told specifically by Obama not to go on TV and criticize him. Jindal says that it was clear Obama was frustrated with the level of criticism he was getting and goes on to accuse Obama of caring more about perception and politics than actually cutting through the red tape and getting things done.

Bobby Jindal dares tell the truth about our thin skinned 'Dude' in Chief.
“were told specifically by Obama not to go on TV and criticize him”
Gee, I wonder how much additional media coverage Kathleen Blanco, Mary Landrieu and Ray Nagin would have gotten if they had been told the same by the Bush administration.
Good for Jindal for exposing the Hypocrite in Chief.
“Thin Skin Dude” and “Spooky Dude” - what a pair of socialists!
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
How gauche of Jindhal to even ENTERTAIN criticism of
The Great One”. (sarcasm)
I like Jindal, but why is this coming out now, and not when it happened? Was Jindal offered something to stay quiet, or was some kind of threat made?
It was reported locally. My friends back home were outraged. Of course, the national lap dog media would not dare jeopardize their seats on the press plane.
The MSM has lulled Obama into a false sense of omnipotence.
Clearly Jindal is RACIST.
Thanks for that clarification, Islander! Hard to believe the media could keep a lid on something like that so long...
“I like Jindal, but why is this coming out now, and not when it happened? Was Jindal offered something to stay quiet, or was some kind of threat made?”
Jindal did complain a lot to the media about the WH in the BP spill aftermath. He was also busy dealing with the crisis, and the media downplayed such WH protests at first. Writing about it was probably the best way Jindal could get this info out.
Interviewer did I hear that he also said something to the effect that youd better not make it sound like he didnt care about people did, did he say something along those lines to you?If George W. Bush had done this, the media would have gone absolutely wild with it. The treatment he would've gotten over a remark like this would have been double what he got over Katrina in 2005.
Yeah. He there were two interactions that were surreal to me. The second time he came to the state after the (unintelligible) ended his meeting by basically telling me and the Parish President of (unintelligible) Parish that he didnt want to see us going on TV to criticize him. Now, he was very specific, he said he was mad that we kept going he didnt want to see us on CNN, so Im assuming Glenn, that we can still go on FOX and other channels, and criticize him, but apparently he was frustrated that we were going on TV to criticize him, his first visit, down there the very first time he comes to Louisiana after the oil spill, he pulls me aside, and a publicity stunt, hes is angry, and I can understand if he was angry about the bureaucratic response, the oil spill, the loss of life, Glenn, I wouldve understood that, it would have made sense to me. He was angry about a bureaucratic letter about food stamps, he said careful, this is going to get bad for all of us, Glenn, you got a White House, a President, that seem more worried about perception and politics, rather than actually cutting through the red tape, and in the book Leadership In Crisis Ive got all kinds of stories of red tape and bureaucracy, which cannot move quickly (end)
What I remember was the press, breathlessly asking (that boob) Ray Negin, after his meeting with W. on Air Force One, "well how did it go, was the tension level high?" and Negin's answer was (referring to the President) "No, he said 'you and me are OK'."
The Kenyan is Idi Amin on Slimfast..
“If Obama were any more thin skinned, he’d have a reservoir tip” Dennis Miller Show.
The emperor does not tolerate criticism.
Hussein Obama our very own African style socialist dictator
The very nerve of that nasty little twerp.
Everyone knows the hell that would have been raised had George Bush tried this kind of stunt
How come we are only hearing about this now?
It seems to be Jindal caved and limited criticism of the Obama
Jindal didn’t cave. His comments about the incident were simply unreported until he wrote his book.
Suddenly I am feeling all warm & fuzzy inside :-)
I guess when you are such an icon of “change” and such a superlative “Leader” (aka Fuehrer, Duce,), you shouldn’t be subjected to things such as “criticism” which CLEARLY should be restricted to lesser mortals.
