In an interview this morning on Glenn Beck’s radio show, Bobby Jindal said that at a meeting with the President during the gulf oil spill, that he and the President of Plaquemines Parish were told specifically by Obama not to go on TV and criticize him. Jindal says that it was clear Obama was frustrated with the level of criticism he was getting and goes on to accuse Obama of caring more about perception and politics than actually cutting through the red tape and getting things done.

I like Jindal, but why is this coming out now, and not when it happened? Was Jindal offered something to stay quiet, or was some kind of threat made?
It was reported locally. My friends back home were outraged. Of course, the national lap dog media would not dare jeopardize their seats on the press plane.
The MSM has lulled Obama into a false sense of omnipotence.

Jindal did complain a lot to the media about the WH in the BP spill aftermath. He was also busy dealing with the crisis, and the media downplayed such WH protests at first. Writing about it was probably the best way Jindal could get this info out.

He was angry about a bureaucratic letter about food stamps, he said “careful, this is going to get bad for all of us,” Glenn, you got a White House, a President, that seem more worried about perception and politics, rather than actually cutting through the red tape, and in the book Leadership In Crisis I’ve got all kinds of stories of red tape and bureaucracy, which cannot move quickly… (end)
What I remember was the press, breathlessly asking (that boob) Ray Negin, after his meeting with W. on Air Force One, "well how did it go, was the tension level high?" and Negin's answer was (referring to the President) "No, he said 'you and me are OK'."

Jindal didn’t cave. His comments about the incident were simply unreported until he wrote his book.

I guess when you are such an icon of “change” and such a superlative “Leader” (aka Fuehrer, Duce,), you shouldn’t be subjected to things such as “criticism” which CLEARLY should be restricted to lesser mortals.
