That is just weird, good luck with your fantasies, such as the one that Governor Palin has declared that she is not running, the rest of the world missed that one.

Never said that. She said that she would not run if her criteria is met. Pence, and DeMint, fit that criteria. Simple as that.

In the normal course of events, yes, I would have liked to see Governor Palin finish out her term. In the normal course of events, yes, it would be reasonable to expect her to finish out her term, and very much count against her if she didn’t. Unfortunately, what happened to the gov during and after the ‘08 campaign was not the normal course of events, and it’s not realistic to pretend otherwise. And Geraghty, of all people, should know better.

They don’t fit Governor Palin’s exact criteria, sorry.

If you think that unlike the rest of the world, you heard some kind of verbal contract that they fulfill, then perhaps you can sue her. Funny that only you heard it though.

Of course they do...

"It's going to entail a discussion with my family [and] a real close look at the lay of the land, to consider whether there are those with that common sense, conservative, pro-Constitution passion, whether there are already candidates out there who can do the job … or whether there's nobody willing to do it, to make the tough choices and not care what the critics are going to say about you, just going forward according to what I think the priorities should be."

"If there's nobody else to do it, then of course I would believe that we should do this," Sarah tells Mary, leaving the door wide open for a 2012 run, while also noting that if it turns out there are candidates "who can do the job," they would have her full support.

If you think that unlike the rest of the world, you heard some kind of verbal contract that they fulfill, then perhaps you can sue her. Funny that only you heard it though.

Her words speak for themselves, all spin aside.

I was going to say that (1) it’s not necessarily written in stone that either of them will run and (2) in any case, she would decide to run based on her opinion of them, not anyone else’s.

Well that says it exactly.

Here are her comments on Fox News:

"I still don't know," Palin told Fox News' Bret Baier about a possible bid. "You know, if there are others out there who are principled and hardworking and willing to make the sacrifices that you need to make as an individual, as a family, as a candidate, as an elected official, I'll keep doing what I'm doing and I'll be their biggest supporter.

"But if, Bret, there's nobody else that, I think, is willing to make the tough decisions and isn't so caught up in, in the political machine that they believe that they have to compromise, then I'd be willing to make the sacrifices, and, um, run for office," she said.

Can you please explain to me how Pence, or DeMint, don't satisfy that criteria?

LOL, no thanks, your obsession on this is truly bizarre.

You are the only human on the planet that thinks that you have trapped the front runner conservative candidate for President of the United States, in some kind of verbal contract where she is forced to step aside, just in case a DeMint or Pence ever start showing up in the polls.

You should start your fund raising today, so that you can sue her if your bizarre fantasy doesn’t come to reality.

Obsession? So completely ironic.

Again, it's interesting that you don't think conservatives should follow through on their words or be held to them. Very telling...

Speaking of conservatives being held to their words....

Sen. Jim DeMint says he's not running for president in 2012 even though he believes he has the “management and leadership skills” for the job.

"Right now, I’m totally out," the South Carolina Republican and darling of the tea party movement told Fox News on Tuesday.

No, it made no sense, neither did your single word response when it was pointed out that your post made no sense.

Speaking of conservatives being held to their words.... DeMint:No, I'm not going to run.

"Right now, I’m totally out," the South Carolina Republican and darling of the tea party movement told Fox News on Tuesday.

DeMint said he wasn't going to run. I showed you the quote. Anything else that you can find becomes a contradiction. And you did say, "conservatives should follow through on their words or be held to them."

"No, I'm not going to run. I have no intentions, no plans," he said on Fox News. "But I don't want to think past 2010 right now."

I'll take him at his word, that he is not running right now but things could possibly change. However, the substance of my conversation revolved around Pence as well. If he runs, Palin appears to be out.
