For some reason I thought he was doing one of those look backs into history on this date in the past. If not then prayers up for all aboard!

Looks like it’s SNOWING at Sea-Tac.
Flight identified as a China Airlines 747 off of runway 34L.

From Airliners:

China Airlines 747 on Runway 34L. Emergency crews have responded. It is at the north end of the airport.

Airport is still open. Current weather is not very good at all. Strong winds of 17mph gusting to 25 with ice on the ground and current snow. Some airports handle winter weather well, but SEA is not the best prepared since it gets little snow. Current delays are over 1hr on arrival and it is getting worse.

It’s dumping sleet and snow here just across from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The wife’s cooking up some chili and cornbread. Maybe hot cocoa later?

Hope the folks at SEATAC are OK.

Ok, since there are no injuries, let the Airplane! references commence:

“Flight 2-0-9 now arriving at Gate 8.....Gate 9.....Gate 10....”

Are the police chasing it? Why else would Shep be covering it?

"Been snowing here all day (not much, a couple of inches), but around here, that’s a lot."

Is it early for snow in your neck of the woods or is this about par for the course?

I don’t know the weather conditions at Sea-Tac. I am 3 hours to the west and we presently have about 3’ of that white global warming stuff on my roof. This could easily be weather related.

Early. This is a “mega La Nina” winter—we’re going to set records for cold and snow. This is already the coldest November since 1955.

We have a near-record-low weather alert here along the west coast. Arctic cold wave from Canada coming for Thanksgiving.
