The MSM continues to fawn over this outrage at Ground Zero to show us common folk how progressive they are
Via Pundit Press:
NBC and its affiliates have been trounced in ratings over the last several years. With stations like MSNBC under their belt and liberals such as Matt Lauer and Keith Olbermann hosting programs, NBC is clearly disconnected with the average American. Another clear sign of their mismanagement: naming Sharif El-Gamal, developer of the Ground Zero Mosque, one of their People of the Year.
In an interview set to air on Thanksgiving Day, Matt Lauer sat down with El-Gamal and discussed the Park 51 Project. El-Gamal, who was apparently pleased to be named one of NBCs people of the year, seemed very comfortable answering questions. The excerpt released so far shows that Mr. Lauer gave El-Gamal a decidedly softball interview. Here is a partial transcript of El-Gamals opening statements:
Theres going to be a facility here thats going to provide aquatics, uh, uh, uh, a gym, just like a Jewish community center or, or a YMCA. Its going to provide, uh, much needed facilities to the residents of Lower Manhattan.
Lauer responds that there is one major exception to El-Gamals statement, describing the 9/11 terrorist attacks. However, El-Gamals quickly responded:
Not once have I held my faith accountable for the horrific events of 9/11. I am an American. I am an American who has a specific belief system, and my belief system, in order to be a Muslim you have to be a good Jew and a good Christian....
TOPICS: Culture/Society; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: 2surrender2islam; 2surrender2islami; 4nbc; 911victorymosque; antiamericanism; appeasement; appeasers; cultureofcorruption; cynicism; groundzeromosque; islamicimperialism; islamicsupremacist; ivorytower; msm; nbc; outrage
I want to be sick.

Look at it this way, NBC makes it much easier for patriots to determine which side they are on when it comes time..........

Insanity. My blood pressure is through the roof! They're just being outrageous to get some eyeballs, some ratings, some free secondary publicity. No different than what Madonna used to do. Think Michael Jackson, hanging his infant son by the foot off a balcony. Think Rosanne Barr, singing the National Anthem.
The way they see things, if a few bitter clingers stroke out and drop dead, hey, icing on the cake, life is good.
Don't let them do it to you.

You don’t suppose someone from Comcast decided to tell NBC executives this would be a GREAT idea, in order to further tarnish their reputation, further lower their ratings, and ultimately lower the purchase price, do you?

I think liberal motivation is more like "What can we do to piss off conservatives today". There isn't much else that could explain their hodge-podge, all-over-the-map application of liberal ideals. Application of conservative ideals is more consistent and linear. Our values were the same on 9/12 as they were on 9/10. Liberals have to keep testing the wind to see what they can get away with or to keep using misdirection draw attention away from their true schemes.
It is kind of like attacking a fortress. Conservatives would concentrate their cannon fire on one spot while liberals would fire on one spot and perpetually keep moving to fire on new spots. Upon victory, the conservative attack would leave the fortress reusable after the breach was repaired while liberal attack would end up in a generally unusable structure.

It’s been over 9 years and nothing has been done (while other buildings in the area have been rebuilt) all thanks to our efficient, bureaucratic institutions of government.

Outrageous - but not really a shock. This is NBC, the Today show and Matt Lauer, after all. They'll get a blip of publicity, the Manhattan leftist contingent will cheer - and the networks ratings will continue to tank. That conservatives go bonkers over the outrage is probably the hope of the NBC geniuses behind this interview but at this point, nothing the left does surprises us any more and NBC is well down the road to complete irrelevancy, anyway. Screw 'em.

Gee, do you think there's a connection there?
To: La Lydia
This is more than just sickening...it is bizarre.
It's been like this since Obama came on the scene. What's up is down, what's sweet is bitter, what's hot is cold, etc., etc.
It's like the Left has been subjected to a kind of inversion hypnosis!
As was reported on FR this morning, Fidel Castro believes Obama is a snake charmer. I see his point.

And,...Note the morphing mosque narrative. For months Imam Rauf and his gang have been whining that the building destroyed in the attacks of 911 was not close to Ground Zero, but now they want to be included in the ground zero areas geography. Got that, dirty kuffar?

Could conservatives buy enough stock in GE to fire the CEO, turn NBC into Fox #2 — another conservative voice?
I’m sure millions would buy 500-1000$ in shares. Takeover the company. Fire the moonbat leftists.
