Posted on 11/23/2010 12:39:32 PM PST by ColdOne

President Obama is "outraged" by North Korea's attack on a South Korean island, White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton said Tuesday.

Obama plans to call South Korea's president, Lee Myung-bak, on Tuesday, Burton said, adding that Tom Donilon, his national security adviser, called Obama at 3:55 a.m. to tell him of the attack.

"The president is outraged by this action," he told reporters on Air Force One. "We stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korea."

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korea.”

How nice. I picture Obama being super busy with golfing and everything, but it looks like he's hoping to make some time to maybe call this guy and chit chat. Obama is so awesome!!!!

Ha—Hillary is every bit as mealy mouthed as Obama. All this will result in is more kow-towing to NK in a misguided attempt to make them play nice. China and NK are having a good chuckle.

What’s worse? Obama acting like the frightened child, apologizing profusely, or responding like he’s got a pair, at which he’d be totally inept for lack of practice?

"The president said, "We stand shoulder to shoulder with South Korea."

BS... What does Obama know about standing shoulder to shoulder with anyone? Where did Obama ever fight or serve?

Any real shooting war breaks out, Obama will be no where near it.

The BS is knee deep.

"maybe they’re more interested in buying some US exports now?"

That's the way I'm seeing it. Why should we get bent out of shape about North Korea walking over South Korea, when South Korea refuses to trade fairly with us? They enjoy annual $11B-14B trade surplus with the US, while we spend who knows how many billions each year keeping US troops on their border.

If they want to continue to enjoy the umbrella of US protection, it's time to start opening their markets, immediately. I'm no longer eager to borrow money from China to protect South Korea from North Korea. It's insanity.

After a force opens up on me with field artillery I would feel reassured, knowing the potus was going to drop a dime on me sometime today.

The nk pigs want to publicly compromise us, and they have succeed.

Both Bushes, Reagan and even Clinton would be addressing the nation about the five square mile artillery emplacements in the north they rototilled with harpoons. Then explaining to the nation why the pentagon is going to need a few extra billion this year for "inventory maintenance"

obama will send them a couple billion dollars backed by chinese bond sales, and a few cargo containers of corn/wheat... And whatever else they want. We are playing an end game with a mouse.

“Obama plans to call South Korea’s Lee”

Copy of phone record:
Hey Lee, this is President of the world Obama.
Lee: hello, what time is it? It is like 3AM here. Who did you say you were?
(o): I thought you would recognize my spendid voice, wait, I will turn up the resonater a bit more. Yoooo Heeereee Meee nowwww.
Lee: What ever you want, we gave at the office.
(o): No Lee, I am here to offer support from the people of the US but don’t count on any military support. BTW, who is that guy you are facing, Grant is it?
Lee: Huh? What you saying?
(o): Let me make this perfectly clear to you, we are not fighting your war for you BUT we are here to stand shoulder to shoulder with you to help you through the terms of unconditional surrender.
Lee: We are not surrendering.
(o): Well, think about it then. Remember, no economic treaty signature by you means we don’t send an emissary to the Norks to tell them to stop.
Lee: You promise not to send one, great.
(o): Got to run now, tee time you know...click.
