There are a lot of Post Office activities which can be done elsewhere.
I buy stamps at the grocery store or Costco.
I send packages by FedEx, UPS or at a private mailbox facility.
Haven’t been in a Post Office in years.
Oh, they are losing money? Well, customer service is necessary for any well-run business. They don’t have it.
IMHO, though I only have experience in the post office in Yuma, AZ, the customer service their is actually pretty good. It has improved quite a bit in the last 15 years.
