Should Congress Give Luis Perez the Chance to Practice Law? [Barf Alert]
Wall Street Journal Law Blog ^ | 11/26/10 | Ashby Jones

What does one see when one looks at Luis Perez? A model citizen and role model? A scofflaw? A reminder of just how broken our immigration system is? Let us explain: Perez recently got his law degree from UCLA (pictured), and in so doing became the first “undocumented” immigrant ever to do so. He’s planning on taking the California bar exam in January. But for now, his immigration status prevents him from practicing law and, for that matter, landing a legal-industry job. * * * Perez has got a quick rejoinder to all those who think he’s no better than a common criminal. “Being undocumented is not a criminal issue, it’s a civil issue,” he said. “The law sees us not as lawbreakers but as people without legal status.”

.Good for him. He managed to steal from this country for all these years. He would make a great lawyer in his own country. (Mexico?) He will fit right in with a totally corrupt government, having prior experience and all.
BTW He is not an “undocumenteg student”, he is an ILLEGAL ALIEN!!! A criminal.

First, UCLA law is not easy to get into and he basically took a spot that should have gone to an American student.

Second, to even get into the bar, you have to pass the moral turpitude test, which is an oxymoron, but a criminal shouldn’t be allowed to practice law in any state.

Third, Mexico is falling apart. He should take his education to build up his own country instead of tearing apart ours.

He must be denied. Sorry. Try doing it legally next time. Adios.”

Besides: There are lots of drug dealers in Mexico who could use a lawyer for all the mayhem they are causing.

Thanks for the clarification; makes sense to me.

But, perhaps its time for civil disobedience: we should all violate the government’s laws as long as the government allows illegal aliens, including Obama, to violate the government’s laws.

Perez has got a quick rejoinder to all those who think he’s no better than a common criminal. “Being undocumented is not a criminal issue, it’s a civil issue,” he said. “The law sees us not as lawbreakers but as people without legal status.”

Are you ready for this, Americans?

The "American" Bar Association's new president, Stephen N. Zack, will announce a new direction for US law.

Zack intends to hold public hearings across the country to “study” whether the US legal system is “addressing the needs of Hispanics.”

What's next Zack----imposing Sharia Law on Americans?

The ABA is no longer concerned with “US law.” They Are Peddling Race Instead of Law. The ABA is poised to segregate Americans into classes each with their own “laws.”

According to the ABA, we now have “Hispanic law,” “African American law,” "Sharia Law," “Gay Law.” ………………… maybe a little “White law” thrown in here and there. Maybe “non-human law” is next? In case your dog might want to sue someone.

The reason we have “Hispanic law”? Because Stephen N. Zack the new president of the ABA is a Cuban-lawyer from Miami, Florida. Can you say conflict of interest?

The disturbed left’s identity politics, its propensity to separate us and balkanize American into different segments moves ahead apace with the era of Obama........

Obama....you remember him, that post-racial president that was supposed to “heal” America? Yeah, that one.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY It's alright to preserve one's culture as long as it's not white Western exceptionalism.

Perez managed to steal from this country all these years-----God knows how many fake identities and stolen SS cards he, and his family, used to get on the US gravy train.

RIDING THE US GRAVY TRAIN An illegal alien w/ wife and five children violates our borders. He gets a job mowing loans for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that low wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, so each year, he files an Income Tax Return to get "EITC---earned income credit" of up to $3,200 scot-free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps and no deductible, no co-pay free health care. His children get free school breakfasts and lunches.

The kids qualify for monthly SSI checks, faking ADD; the illegal and his wife get SSI if they fake being aged, blind or disabled; SSI qualifies them for Medicare.

Plus illegals don't worry about pricey items like car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance, and qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

ALL OF THAT IS COLLECTED WITH JUST ONE IDENTITY Evidence shows illegals establish several identities with stolen SS nos and fake documents (which these "poor immigrants" buy from document brokers for several thousand dollars).

=========================================

Now here's a great idea.

WASHINGTON - An elected Maryland state delegate is preparing to file a civil injunction against Montgomery College for allowing illegal immigrants to attend the school. "According to the statistics we have, we think it could be as much as $10 million in taxpayer subsidies being used for in-state tuition illegally," said Delegate Pat McDonough, a Republican representing Baltimore and Harford counties.

McDonough called for a criminal investigation into the public institution last month. While some other public universities in the area allow illegal immigrants as students, Montgomery College is one of the few to afford them with low in-state tuition rates. The blame falls on the college and County Executive Ike Leggett for allowing illegal aliens not only to attend the school, but to pay the same costs as legal in-state students, McDonough told WMAL. He added that the injunction will be filed "in the very near future." "They've all pleaded guilty," he said.

"What they don't understand is, you're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own law.

So we plan to go to the state prosecutor and the federal prosecutor because it's a violation of both federal and state law." Some Montgomery County residents are already planning to join the lawsuit, McDonough said.

He called Montgomery College the "tip of the iceburg," and says he suspects illegals are being offered similar deals at other public institutions of higher learning in the state. "The money has already been spent," he said. "The taxpayer's money has already been used under unlawful conditions. Somebody has to be responsible for that."

Not a citizen. Illegal alien. Can’t practice law here.

Agreed.

What was UCLA thinking!
