There has been some speculation lately about Obama's mental state - he's been losing lately and some here have posted what are hopefully only rumors.

I don't like the idea of him throwing a hissy-fit just at this particular time.

"North Korea" is Chinese for "plausible deniability."

Don't think for a second that North Korea or Pakistan has the technology to create nuclear weapons on their own. The former was given to harass China's enemies in Japan, South Korea, and Australia. The latter was given to counterbalance India.

This is another in a long series of probing attacks, and it was already either tacitly approved or backed by the Chinese. NoKorea is a wholly owned subsidiary of China, Inc., and claims to the contrary that the Chinese are "increasingly worried," or "embarrassed" by their hand-puppets on the Korean peninsula are a lot of smoke.

"China has warned against military activity near its coastline ahead of U.S.-Korea naval exercises, according to Reuters ..."

How soon before the ChiComs demand that we pull out of South Korea? How soon before the ChiComs demand that we leave Japan, Guam, American Samoa or surrender the Pacific islands that America owns or administers (Midway etc.)? How soon before the Chicoms demand the America withdraw its naval forces from Pearl Harbor and shut the base down because they find it too threatening or because its existence may constitute a "provocation" and an obstacle to peace in the Pacific?

How soon before the ChiComs demand Australia be given to them?

I say America should tell them to go to hell!

Obama has been spotted with stitches in his lip, from “playing basketball”.
I wonder if he was playing with Chinese diplomats?

STFU China. It’s your North Korea buddies you should be worried about. Should it start up again with the North you can expect a sand box right up to your border. Americans are getting tired of your crap.

"If this sounds familiar, it's because the same thing happened after the Cheonan shipwreck. America sent some warships to join in naval exercises, China was outraged, and America yielded and moved the exercises primarily to a more distant location."

I'll huff and I'll puff...and do nothing. More window dressing to cover for inaction.

I am sure when China attacks us...Obozo will just say it is a one-time event and Hillary will rush a “RESET” button over to China.

Of course they will TWEET their verbal warnings so they make a bigger impact on China...

What would really get China’s attention would be to start shifting sourcing to countries like Taiwan and India. There must be overseas markets with labor pools large enough to take a bite out of our China imports.

Let’s see, how many Chinese submarines need to submerge, never to rise again, just to equal the Cheonan?

The Chinese have a whole bunch of submarines.

If they think they can be aggressive by proxy, perhaps it is time for them to understand that they may think they can act with impunity, but the reality is that the ocean is wide and deep, and at 400 fathoms, everybody can hear you crush.

U.S. to China: Korea drills not aimed at you

YEONPYEONG ISLAND, South Korea — The Pentagon Friday defended upcoming U.S.-South Korean naval exercises from criticism by China, saying the drills were aimed at deterring North Korea from another attack.

A Pengaton spokesman said it was "important" to state publicly that the exercises were "not directed at China."

So what does China now consider as its coastal waters? 35 miles? 100 miles?
