Amidst all of the criticism of the Transportation Security Administration over its implementation of President Obama's plans for invasive image scanners or pat-down procedures that involve touching airline passengers' private parts an inspector general's report has been released blasting the training procedures for the agents.

"At one airport. TSA officials allow TSOs to bypass the use of the Online Learning Center and provided little time for training because of staffing challenges," said the newly released report. "One lead TSO indicated that he had not accssed the Online Learning Center since 2005."

The report, dated October 2010 and released just a short time ago, continued, "The TSO also explained that staff had limited time to read printed training materials in lieu of going online. Therefore, the staff is encouraged to simply sign off on the materials and receive credit for taking the courses without providing evidence of reading or understanding the information.

‘Staff encouraged to sign off without providing evidence of understanding material’

Rather similar to how Obama got through Harvard Law School.

There is nothign to understand. The training is all pablum produced by private contractors who get contracts to sell training to the government. The folks that produce the training have even less of a clue than the folks they are supposed to be training.

When I had to qualify submarines, I did not just take an on line computer course where I clicked through the modules as fast as I could. I had to prove to a bunch of tough SOBs that a. I could take all the shit they dished out and b. They were comfortable sleeping while I was standing watch with their lives in my hands.

Training is not seen as something vital to the proper conduct of operations. It is just anothe pain in the a$$ exercise.

Seems to me that when the SHTF, the TSA are being sacrificed as the first fascists to get wiped out.

That’s a few thousand dead goosesteppers. Who’s the backup?

And please, don’t tell me it’s the 101st Airborne and the 1st Marine Division. I’ll be more than happy to correct your comic-book reading stupid ass.

The back-up to the TSA is king obuma’s Fat Welfare Momma Division, if he can pry the two-liter coke bottles and jumbo potato chips bags from their hands.

The second brigade relys on the bed-wetting college kids. Whoopee!@
Okay, general, let’s move that battalion of womyn’s studies privates (snort!) to the left flank and hope the black studies rappers can get to the right of the honkey’s flank.

Well, GailA, I sure like your opinion.

It’s what makes me hang around FR and appreciate friends and really dislike our agent provacetuer enemies.

(I really want to drag that fat slob Al Gore out from behind his desk and hang him on a lightpost)

That’s just me, though. You might have better ideas.

Since the TSA isn't profiling, I don't see the harm in this. Thanks Nachum.
