JEDDAH: Saeed Hussein Obama, uncle of US President Barack Obama, has praised King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his efforts to establish regional and international peace and stability, and for assisting in the development of the Muslim Ummah.
Saeed Obama, Barack Obama’s grandmother, and other members of the family, performed Haj this year as guests of the King. Prince Mamdouh Bin Abdul Aziz held a banquet for the family at his palace in Jeddah recently.
Obama, who is the chairman of a Kenyan petroleum company, said in an interview with Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the Islamic Ummah considers the King a wise politician leader and a proponent of just Islamic causes.
He said this year’s Haj was an unprecedented success because of the new facilities for pilgrims, including the new roads and bridges, technology, and the launch of the Holy Sites Train. Serving large numbers of people at a specific time and place was a miracle by any standards and a difficult task for any country, he said.
“The Islamic Ummah greatly appreciates the role of King Abdullah in serving pilgrims and enabling them to perform their rituals peacefully. We see that the Saudi authorities make great efforts to improve conditions for every Haj. We see the accomplishments every year,” he said.
Obama said the Muslim world is in a crisis not seen for many centuries. These challenges require unified action. He said the King’s interfaith dialogue has reduced Islamophobia in the world.

Not one of this guy’s relatives has a non muslim name. And we are supposed to believe he is Christian.
He would only say that the American president wants to improve living and economic conditions in the world, and wants peace and stability in all regions.
Obama called on Saudi investors to invest in Kenya in the fields of tourism, construction, agriculture and education, saying the government will give them all the necessary help to do so. He also called on the Saudi government to allow Kenyan students to study at Saudi universities.
Although the Saudi-Kenyan relationship is developed in many fields, there are some investment areas which have not been exploited, he said."

But I’m sure the King knows it is helpful to Barry’s ultimate goals.
The Saudis have a name for these people “raisin heads” for a good reason.
We certainly don’t see him attending Sunday church services.

And we thought only Republicans, like the Bushes and Cheney, had anything to do with the oil business. But no, poor little Barack’s uncle chairs a petroleum company. Which reminds me of someone else famous for having such an uncle, Jethro Bodine. Who had about as much experience and who also thought he could do anything well, with similar results.
Did you know Sayid/Saeed/Said was the Chairman of a Petroleum company?
