Southerners should’ve stopped voting Democratic decades ago

All it did was help keep liberals in power

It angers me that people continue to call them the “Democratic Party.” There’s nothing ‘democratic’ about how they do things.

We also took Kennedy land.

But never mind that eh? Just keep churning out the same old lies like we’re 80 year old NBC viewers.

Maybe you could try and sell us some old people medication, and make us REALLY feel like we’re watching the evening news.

The Democrats didn’t “lose” the South. Even though the yankee elite won’t admit it, we have values down here in “Bible and Gun” country. As the Democrats abandoned and even laughed at our values, we lost interest in them. As the Democrats insulted our intelligence, we learned to distrust them. Then, when they decided to destroy our country so they could “transform” us into something we don’t believe in, we said “NO”.

Many of us switched in 1980. Others just took longer.

This oughta undo the screws on the Liberal hinge a couple of turns:

---------

Tim Scott Selected by Freshmen Congressmen for Leadership Position

November 17, 2010 By teamscott

In one of their first acts as a Class, the 80-plus newly elected Republican Members of Congress selected Tim Scott as one of their two representatives to the Elected Leadership Committee (E.L.C.). The Committee is a small group comprising the leadership of the House Republican Conference which meets weekly to plan policy and set the agenda for Congress.

Bingo. Ben Nelson is history in Nebraska and I think he might have sunk a lot of so-called “Blue Dog Dems’” reelection hopes as well, with his “Cornhusker Kickback” as an excuse to vote for abortion-on-demand and government intrusion into every area of our lives.

It showed us all that there’s no such thing as a pro-life democrat in Congress. When push comes to shove they will all kiss Nancy Pelosi’s rear while flipping off everything and everyone else they claimed to believe in and work for.

The New Party was the communists’ attempt to take over the Democratic Party. The media wouldn’t take up the story before the election when buried internet documents were dug up showing that Obama was a signed member of The New Party, but now it is so obvious that the dems have become communist that we don’t even need the documents proving it; we can figure it out just by looking around us.

I have friends who are democrats and before this election they had no clue what their party was up to. They were stunned to find that their party, for instance, defends Partial-Birth Abortion. They honestly thought the party stood for the little guy and for good Christian charity. These are nice people, and I’ve noticed that the twinkle has gone out of their eyes. It took a blatantly communist alleged POTUS to do it, but they have finally seen what the party has become.

There’s one graph I’d still like them to see: the one showing McCain and Obama neck and neck after both conventions were done - until the electronic run on the bank. On that graph you can pinpoint the exact day that Soros and his minions made the run on the bank, and the graph makes it painfully obvious why it was done. It tells the whole story.

The other graph they should see is the one showing what the projected unemployment rate would be if the “stimulus” was passed, versus what it was supposed to be if the stimulus WASN’T passed - versus what actually happened. Obama was elected because of the run on the bank, but we would have been better off doing absolutely nothing than electing the communists. They were elected because the “little guy” trusted them to help the economy but in reality they hurt the economy. If the prediction models were accurate, this economy would be healed by now if we had only let the economy self-correct rather than handing it over to the same people who have sworn to destabilize and bring our economy to crisis in order to “fundamentally change” this free-market Constitutional republic.

Those 2 graphs together should give everybody a very clear picture of where we’re at and how we got here - and it should forever retire the myth that the democrat party is anything but communist.

We've had a Republican majority in the TX House since the 2002 elections. We barely had a majority last session (76-74) with a speaker with more Democrat than Republican support, but now it's an overwhelming majority (99-51). We can achieve a quorum with just 1 Democrat showing up. They can forget about road trips to Oklahoma or New Mexico to shut down the legislature. It should be much easier to pass the voter ID bill this session!

Believe it or not, there were once real (Blue Dog)conservative Democrats in the South—remember Zell Miller?

And for a while,John Spratt was a heck of a lot better than some of the RINOs the RNC put against him.

Do you vote for the party or for the man?

Southern Liberal Democrats have only existed in regions where they defeated a Liberal Republican or the district has been gerrymandered to comply with the racist anachronistic federal “voting rights act.”
Not to mention when the Leftists started taking over the Dem Party we became as solid GOP as we were once solid Dem.

Now NO Republican can win a national race WITHOUT the South.

The fact is that people vote for Representatives that Represent them.

When those people sell out their constituency and suck up to a witch who thinks she is the know all ,see all, be all of the House, When they listen to a harridan who could care less about America and seeks power for herself ,they lose that constituency.

Certainly a Speaker of the House can be wrong, but it doesn’t mean that everyone in the House has to follow her over the cliff.

It should have come clear soon after WWII ended.

The conservative mvement of the 50s/60s had national security at its core.

Many wondered how the events of the 50s, 60s and 70s by the political left/democrat socialist party could have been misread by ANY intelligent Americans?

Nixon and McCarthy had the goods on the communists inside America by the early 50s, who were protected by the media, intelligencia and Democrat party for years and years.

The socialist wing of the Republican party caused the rejection of republicans in all areas of the US that were primarily agricultural.

ADM and Monsanto didn't get where they are through honest business, but through bribes and crony legislation.

There is a reason many of the staunchest conservatives here are not members of the republican party. Unrestrained graft anywhere hurts real people. It isn't just something to joke about when piles of money appear in a congressman's freezer. Somebody made more money than they gave said congressman, and other people lost what they would have had.

Harrison County Texas has always been controlled by democrats, but the people always support Republicans state wide and nationally. Not this time all the democrats at the county seat changed hands for the first time. I was a little surprised. Not long after a couple of the democrats that didn’t have to run switched parties.

Do you vote for the party or for the man?

Every Democrat, no matter how local or how "conservative," is part of the machine, the monster . . . and is implicated in the positions of the national party by his affiliation.

The Democrat party has always been the party of gerrymandering, corruption, machines, and big cities. The Republican party has always been the party of rural America, of our Puritan heritage, and of public morals. The South's long and inexplicable marriage to this corrupt monstrosity does not speak well of our region. That Southerners have actually changed their voting patterns while other groups continue to vote Democrat no matter what, though, shows that Southerners are more open and fair-minded than those other groups.

You do realize that I am a Southerner myself, right?

Remaining with one's ancestral political party after that party has made itself the party of filth and the rejection of every principal of universal morality is a strange type of "conservatism."

BTW, American Blacks are as religious and (probably) Fundamentalist as any white Southerners. How in the blazes they vote the way (and have the leadership) they do is something we will probably never know.

Errrr...... Have had the State House since the election of 2002 or the swearing in in Jan. 03. Remember Tom DeLay and his recent convictions this past week? Well it centered on that 2002 election in which money was sent to the RNC in DC and back to seven Texas House candidates of which six won. That win gave the Texas House to the Gop and in 2003 they redistricted the Congressional districts [Rats ran to OK and NM] giving the GOP a 21-11 seat majority with the election in 2004. The democrats had a 17-15 CD majority after the 2001 redistricting.

Two things to consider here,

1.) the long memory of southerners dating back to the Republican carpetbaggers after the civil war, as you say, it took over a hundred years to finally let that dog lay,

2.) the greater influence of the Bible on southerners, more powerful to a true southerner than even his long held animosity towards the perceived enemy of the south and the “common people,” the “northern” carpetbagging Republican party.

Number two won out, thank God.

Up until current times, many Southerners have resisted voting Republican only because it was the party of Lincoln and Civil War wounds still run deep. However, the tide has been turning in recent decades as Southerners realize that the face of the Democratic Party is now folks like John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi. Not even to mention Barack Obama.

And they've simply had enough.

I'm glad to see this trend and hopefully it will spread north and west.
