Global warming is now such a serious threat to mankind that climate change experts are calling for Second World War-style rationing in rich countries to bring down carbon emissions.
In a series of papers published by the Royal Society, physicists and chemists from some of world’s most respected scientific institutions, including Oxford University and the Met Office, agreed that current plans to tackle global warming are not enough.
Unless emissions are reduced dramatically in the next ten years the world is set to see temperatures rise by more than 4C (7.2F) by as early as the 2060s, causing floods, droughts and mass migration.
As the world meets in Cancun, Mexico for the latest round of United Nations talks on climate change, the influential academics called for much tougher measures to cut carbon emissions....

I can’t believe that so many reasonably intelligent scientists got drawn into the hoax of global warming theory. Not one of these scientists can explain in any depth and detail how a very small amount of CO2 added to the atmosphere can possibly trap the huge amount of energy needed to warm up the earth by 3-5 degrees F. There has been a monumental breakdown in the scientific peer review process over the last 25 years.
There already is rationing....have they seent he purchasing power of consumers lately?
I have had a theory for quite a while now that what is driving public policy in the West is not socialism but a reaction by the old money elites to technological advances that allow the middle class to live almost as well as the truly rich.
The first tactic of the eiltes is to use media they control to denigrate middle class lifestyle and consumption. They introduce words like “McMansion” to the lexicon. There is nothing wrong with real mansions, the kind John Edwards, Al Gore, and Thomas Friedman live in, only the kind the upstart middle class enjoy. No SUVs for the common folk, but they are also fine for the rich, along with limos.
When public ridicule doesn’t work, they resort to writing laws to make sure the separation between the rich and the middle class remains wide and distinct.
No school vouchers for the people - private schools are for the elite.
No higher education admissions based on merit - that might keep “legacy” offspring out of the best universities.
No cell phone use in cars - that privilege is reserved for the rich with drivers, or public officials.
No big TVs allowed - home theater needs to be for the rich only.
No big cars, or even cars at all - public transit is for the masses.
No big homes allowed. Pretenders with 5,000 sf homes just won’t do.
And it goes on and on.
Of course, the global warming myth has been the best tool for burdening the middle class ever invented. This article shows the power elites have now dropped any attempt to hide their actual goal -— keep the middle class in their place so the old money types can keep their elevated and separate status.

OMG! Now I know why the Libs have such a wet dream over this movie as it vindicates everything that's been said about Global Warming.
All the buzz words, the spin, the lies, is like watching a bad movie. Oh wait!
The character that plays President Bush has about 3 lines in the whole movie and always has a quizzical look on his face. The guy that plays Cheney admits about a hundred times that he screwed up and should have listened to the far-left and their wacky ideas. And it's clear he runs the office of the President (who gets killed when his convoy is overcome by a very cold low pressure system. wtf)
I laughed pretty much the whole movie.
