Voters continue to blame the George W. Bush administration more than President Obama's policies for the country's ongoing economic problems.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters say the current economic problems are due to the recession which began under the Bush administration. Forty-one percent (41%) believe the current policies of President Obama are more to blame.

“Began under the Bush administration” is slightly different than what the headline implies, and doesn’t take into account the democrat-controlled congress since 2006

Let’s see how they feel two years from now when dear leader’s policies really start to take effect.

Does anyone ever ask the obvious question?

How exactly does a President affect the economy when one considers his Constitutional powers?

It always amazes me how dumb the American Citizen is about how our government works!

Yet we keep seeing here at FR how the MSM is on a deathwatch. Dangerous thinking indeed.

That’s exactly what I wanted to say. Slightly different.

I would have liked to know what question they asked.

The voters are an “ass”. Over 2 years the current democrap administration and democrap congressional cronies (4 years) have had to fix the economy, but instead it got much worse!

Funny, and here I sit thinking that the democrats held the majority in Congress since 2006.

And people here on FR are still blaming Clinton for all sorts of things. He hasn’t been seen in the Oval Office in...ten years, has it been?

Out here in the real world, W is despised, while the Black Messiah just bewilders.

Not to mention the people asking the question. The average member of the voting public just "thinks" what the media tells them.

I used "a ass" instead of "an ass" because that's the way Sam Clemen's said it.

Obama as late as yesterday continues to say he inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit. Obama subscribes to the Big Lie theory, i.e., if you say it loud enough and often enough, people believe it. The Reps have been sitting on their thumbs letting him get away with it.

Every time a Rep leader speaks, he/she should preface their remarks by stating how much the Obama administration has increased the deficit since taking office as well as noting that the Dems have been in control of Congress since January 2007.

This should be a test for being allowed to vote. If someone thinks a president who’s been out of office for two years is responsible for today’s economy (good or bad), they shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Stupidity is going to be the death of us all.

1/3 of the public probably doesn’t even know who the last president was

Well then. I guess the Leftists can be comforted that W. won’t be getting elected to a third term.

However, the voters still blame Obama for what he has done.

What they forget to add is that the recession was triggered by Democrat policies and evil financial billionaires like George Soros.

on domestic issues, Bush sucked and surrounded hmself with RINOS and RATS. Paulson came straight from Goldman Sachs, the biggest rat-infested operation of Wall Street. Whose ass was saved in the bailout? Who became a commercial bank in the blink of an eye? (Goldman)

Who orchestrated the transfer of the people’s wealth to Goldman, JP Morgan, Citi and Bank of America?

George W. Bush’s appointees.

Well, Obama is ten times more responsible for this mess than Bush.

But let’s face it. Bush was a total loser when it came to earmarks, pork, and spending. How about “No child left behind”? or Medicare prescriptions? And how about the unlimited pork that went out the door during his term, and nothing said.

He did do a very good tax cut, for which he deserves credit. But he was a big spenderm on stupid stuff. And when the Democrats took over congress because his base was unhappy with him, he did little or nothing to block their spending or even to protest it out loud.

And he rushed to pass the bailout. And he agreed to the Government Motors takeover.

Sure, Obama is the real villain. But Bush gave the MSM propagandists plenty to work with, unfortunately.

I would even say it's completely different than what the headline implies.

If you ask who is reasonable for the economy today. You would get a completely different answer.
Heck, I would have even said the recession started under the Bush administration. However, we are still in it because of the Obama administration.

Here's what I blame him for. You can review his comments, even at the links that defend him, and decide for yourself.
