TYSONS CORNER, Va. - The 50-year-old grandmother accused with throwing her granddaughter to her death off a parking garage walkway has been charged with murder.
Carmela Dela Rosa allegedly threw two-and-a-half-year-old Angelyn Ogdoc off a sixth floor outdoor walkway at Tysons Corner Center around 7:15 p.m. Monday, Fairfax County Police spokesperson Tawny Wright tells WTOP.
She is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Dela Rosa, of Fairfax, was walking with other family members Monday evening when in a matter of seconds she picked up and threw the girl off the walkway, Wright says.
Emergency responders took Ogdoc to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she later died. Police were notified of her death at roughly 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Not to de-rail your thread, and I'm not saying I do or don't believe in it, but it would provide some explanation for Mel Gibson's behavior.
Oh, I don’t think anyone is immune, it’s just these ‘out of the blue’ stories that really makes you wonder, especially the “I’ve known them for years, they never acted crazy, I don’t know what happened!!” Like that guy from Ugly Betty who chopped his mother up with a machete last week??? Never had problems that we know of prior to that??
The Bible says demons would be unleashed on the world at a certain point...they certainly do seem to be earning their pay, especially in these stories where innocent little kids are involved! :*(
After her murder conviction, the State of VA should hold a lottery to see who gets to throw granny off a 20 story building.
Attendance at this event will be compulsory.
Granny will have several seconds to think about her actions before her head splats like a cantaloupe on the pavement.
The crowd can file past to see her brains oozing out the nose and ears. If this happened, allot less kids would die
from being thrown off thing.

I would be very surprised if she is Mexican. Most of the Latinos here are Salvadorans, Guatemalans or Hondurans, with some Bolivians and Peruvians thrown in for good measure. The Mexicans all live up in Maryland, or down in Manassas.
My friend Carlos tells me that the name “Ogdoc” is common in the Dominican Republic. Perhaps they are Dominicans.
I recommend that Ms. Dela Rosa be an extremely late-term abortee.
She will be executed here in VA for this abomination.

That being said, I think she looks Filipina.
Im betting she didnt like the baby-daddy too well and took it out on the child.

I would like to think that the woman picked the girl up, maybe to see over the waist high railing, then slipped or lost her grip. To think the baby was tossed is unbelievable!
Maybe security cameras caught something that will show what happened.
If she was really “thrown” the woman is the Devil incarnate.
There are some people who need to die. Anyone who commits an act as loathsome as this qualifies.
