The WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, is tonight facing growing legal problems around the world, with the US announcing that it was investigating whether he had violated its espionage laws.
Assange's details were also added to Interpol's worldwide wanted list. Dated 30 November, the entry reads: "sex crimes" and says the warrant has been issued by the international public prosecution office in Gothenburg, Sweden. "If you have any information contact your national or local police." It reads: "Wanted: Assange, Julian Paul," and gives his birthplace as Townsville, Australia.
Friends said earlier that Assange was in a buoyant mood, however, despite the palpable fury emanating from Washington over the decision by WikiLeaks to start publishing more than a quarter of a million mainly classified US cables. He was said to be at a secret location somewhere outside London, along with fellow hackers and WikiLeaks enthusiasts.

Actually he is wanted for questioning. He has not even been charged. That also means that the EU warrant and Interpol warrant are not supportable.
Not defending him, but facts matter.
It's a setup. He is single, met a woman, had consensual sex with her. A few days later, met another woman, had consensual sex with her.
Woman #2 gets together with woman #1 and they decide that he didn't wait long enough between them - therefore he was operating under false pretenses with both of them, and therefore, the false pretenses equal rape.
Even better, the woman who started the whole thing, woman #2, is a known intelligence operative.
I find it hard to believe this little twerp raped 2 women. I think it is more likely that some intelligence service set up a “honey pot” - 2 women who approached him for a 3-way, and then afterwards they filed rape charges against him.
Assange does not work alone.
He is just the public sphere clown sent out to be a jester on stage.
Wikileaks will continue with or without Assange.
The average schmucks in the world will briefly be forced to have the blinders removed from their eyes and see the second and third layer of world stage political power.
And just like that, they will recoil in horror that their worldviews shaped by generations of utter and total bullshit are complete fabrications derived to hold thehm in servitude from cradle to grave.
And they will get mad, real real mad, at the court jester who told them the Emperors have no clothes.
And the emperors will rejoice in using their jester as a foil to further fractionalize the world’s population of schmucks into smaller and smaller subclassifications of worker bees.

You know what my people were asking today... why the fuck after we lost high school friends on 9/11 did our friends go to Iraq and Afghanistan and get injured and another high school buddy died there in a goatherder’s holding pen... for what?
Most people you have to understand are sheeple. They cannot weigh the good and the bad when it is being pounded in there ear that it is all bad. It was decided here by most to consider only the bad and to take this guy out without prejudice. Only those people cant see they are empowering the all powerful big brother in the process. They are taking out there only chance to see through the veil of propaganda and protect there own freedom. And that is the power of sheepelism. One goes Bahhhh, and all the rest follow without thought.
Unfortunately, I agree. Everyone is just jumping on the bandwagon without thinking. It will be harder to deny the Iranian nuclear threat now for example. We are again reminded about our "friend" Saudi Arabia also.
Make no mistake, there will be a knee jerk reaction. We are already seeing it. Government will use this "leak" of relatively low level material to try and gain more power over the internet.
Assange might want ask those pirates the Russians let go...how they were treated.

Actually I can’t think of an instance of this amendment being violated...
but it may when we get that nifty Civilian Security Force!!

So, “probable cause” that a warrant may issue by is the same thing as a warrant? [Listen to any police officer mention probable cause.]
No-Knock warrants are reasonable?
SWAT raids are reasonable?
Border patrol checkpoints, 100 mi in, are reasonable?
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise
infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of
a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval
forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of
War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for

I’m really glad that this amendment prevented bailout recipient CEOs to not answer for an infamous crime because they weren’t presented by a grand jury... oh, wait, Congress can just make people answer for whatever they want!
I’m so glad this amendment makes it impossible for the government to take my land and give it to some other private entity... oh, wait, there’s Keelo v. New England. Never mind.

I’m sure glad that in criminal trials I have the right “to be confronted with the witnesses against him”... oh, wait, I forgot about red-light cameras*.
*If you’re saying that such are CIVIL cases, then why does “Law Enforcement” give you a Citation?
