Skip to comments.Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook, Newark Schools, The Social Network — TIME's Person of the Year?
Posted on 12/02/2010 7:18:34 AM PST by Skeez
More than 500 million people have chosen to follow his vision for the (sometimes) all-day social addiction. "Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life." In the process, 2010 offered several opportunities for the public to connect with CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The 26-year-old faced his share of tumult early on, as international opposition surfaced against his company's privacy practices. Looming in the background was another burning question -- did Zuckerberg steal the idea from original CFO Eduardo Saverin?

So, writer Aaron Sorkin and director David Fincher did what any smart film fiend does -- they brought the story to the Hollywood limelight. Despite the tangled web of unfinished business behind the website's successes, customers flocked to theaters to see The Social Network. On an estimated $50 million budget, the film raked in nearly $46 million in its first two weekends of action.

Like it or not, Zuckerberg has sunk his social-networking teeth into the lives of millions around the world. More than 10,000 readers have already liked him as their candidate for TIME's 2010 Person of the Year. I would have bet Assange was a shoo-in!.....................
Taking $100 million or whatever it is out of the productive economy and dumping it into the black hole that is public education would be grounds for arrest in a sane culture.
Damn libs, should be the tea partiers.
I voted for Sarah Palin.
That’s a keeper. History will recognize that cover as one of the most infamous examples of media LEFTISM ever. I framed it.
I also still have a dog toy that looks like Bill Clinton. My dog chewed the hell out of it though. Does that increase the value?
It does make a good liner for a bird cage though.
Don’t forget to vote DOWN all of the rest.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert seem to be leading many of the candidates.
That's TIME's criteria for poy?
TIME has become a drunk midget...it needs a lower bar.
Excellent. Side by side.
That’s truly frightening.
She’s currently rated #10.
Thanks for the link. I am really torn between Palin and Beck. I really think Beck’s show on Fox(and radio) has been one of the biggest factors in waking this country up to Obama’s marxism and dangerous commie friends. His show has sown the needed seeds of doubt in Obama’s real agenda and helped inspire and organize the 912 Project and Tea Party Movement.
Sarah has been like an inspirational glue that holds it all together. Her tireless work for conservative candidates helped bring us victory in November and she has been awesome in communicating conservative values to the broader public.
Luckily..I was able to vote for both!
