Mullen fires back at McCain’s ‘don’t ask’ repeal criticism

In Senate hearings Thursday, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen shot back at Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for implying that Mullen is not in charge of troops and is thus not qualified to say that the military should end its ban on openly gay service.

What a stupid assertion. Mullen's whole life has been one of commanding people. The REAL scandal is that Obama's "survey" asked only how servicepeople would integrate gays into their units once the ban had been lifted. On the question of actually ending the ban, the vote was 71% against. But the Rancid Media continues to lie.

Mullen is a politician. In today’s Navy when they start wearing the stars they become politicians. He hasn’t been close to enlisted people and know what they think for over 15 years, and he is an obama yes man.

Mullen is a career minded hack who never saw combat or the enemy. McCain has a far greater understanding of these issues and I respect his judgment here because of his experience. He is with the soldier on this one and understands the concept of morale.
