WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have convened a Hanukkah celebration at the White House on the second night of the Jewish festival of lights.

The celebration occurred in the East Room Thursday, where guests recited traditional prayers while lighting candles in a menorah lent by a congregation in New Orleans that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

I know Barry’s not the first to do it, but there’s something very wrong about our president jumping in on and officially celebrating every religion’s holidays.

Tell your friend veronica, it's time you celebrate hanukkah.

I hope I get a harmonica, on this lovely, lovely hanukkah.

So drink your gin-and-tonic-ah, and smoke your mara-juanic-ah, If you really, really wanna-kah, have a happy, happy, happy, happy Hanukkah.

happy hanukka!

Let us all watch and observe how the Obama’s celebrate Christmas. Particularly, let us review his Christmas message to America and see if he refers to “CHRISTMAS” or simply “The Holiday Season”.

When did muslims start doing this?

Mudslimes like 0bama have always celebrated Chanukah. Just the focus of the holiday is a tad different. Jews focus on there being 8 days of oil to light a lamp. Mudslimes like 0bama have a different celebration, with focus on the Temple's destruction.

I wonder if he invited Jeremiah Wright for the festivities.

What a farce, Obama celebrates Chanukkah a time of faith, miracles, freedom and liberation as he is the most ambiguously religious and the most anti Israel president ever.
I wonder if this “Jewish” congregation is one of those secular ones that don’t believe in a higher power but place more importance in humanism.

I’m pretty sure Obama celebrates all religious holidays except Christian ones. Next up are Kwanzaa and Festivus.

What an ace. Chin jutting out, nose in the air, smug look, and Mooshell is her usual cheerful self. What a pair.

One of the reasons Obama started attending church wasn’t to find God.

Abner Joseph Mikva:

“He is a long-time political supporter of US President Barack Obama. Mikva offered Obama a law clerk position in his judicial office after Obama graduated from Harvard Law School; Obama declined the offer. US Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan was one of his law clerks.[4] Mikva became Obama’s political advisor and suggested he learn more effective public speaking from observing preachers. Mikva said of Obama: “He listened to patterns of speech, how to take people up the ladders. It’s almost a Baptist tradition to make someone faint, and, by God, he’s doing it now.”

Another of Mikva’s law clerks was FCC Julius Genachowski, Obama’s Harvard pal.

After graduating from Harvard, also magna cum laude, Genachowski clerked for The Honorable Abner J. Mikva on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then for Justices William J. Brennan and David Souter at the U.S. Supreme Court.

How special.

Zed's PR team found a way to work a "Blame Bush for Katrina" meme into a Jewish holiday.

“He listened to patterns of speech, how to take people up the ladders.”
