No Jobs for U.S. workers declares Bill Johnson, CEO at Heinz, on Wall Street Journal Report last Saturday
Last Saturday, the CEO of Heinz, best known for ketchup production, told Maria Bartiromo that Heinz will not be hiring Americans this year.
The reason he gave was the uncertainty produced by the inability of the government to decide on really important things such as the tax rate his business will pay. He announced at the same time on the same program that Heinz will be opening facilities and hiring in other countries, and concentrated on China where they make soy sauce.

o.k. no more heinz in this household... also going on my sharing list of e-mails...
I was under the impression that the tax cuts that are expiring are for personal income taxes and not corporate taxes. So how would that affect the tax rates his business will pay?
Has he informed John Kerry of his conclusions?
Boycott Heinz products.
Kerry you $#%^&*! you too Teresa *&^#$@!
Obama’s head of USAID set up a program to train Indonesians and Armenians to compete for off-shored jobs with India (which used to be American jobs):

When Zero can’t make solid decisions on his communist agenda, it is nearly impossible for a U.S. company to plan for improvements, expansion, and hiring.
Heinz is leaving to other countries that don’t jerk their companies around and don’t assume that they are nothing but a pot-o’-money to dip into at any time.
There were FReepers using Heinz products after 2004??
Teresa needs to put all those little naked brown children to work in her factories. Do I really need the /s?
Heinz has been on my “not in this house” list for a few years now.
I’ve been boycotting Heinz products for years and years because of how much I am disgusted by John Kerry, his wife is the Heinz heiress.
And that’s tough to do because many products are Heinz but do not bear that name.
Some of the newbe maybe, but never hurts to remind folks and to spread the word outside FR.
Yes.
If you think pure logic, why would you want to do business in the unsure economy of the USA, where regulations are becoming far thicker than freedom, and taxes eat into your prosperity?
I haven’t bought a Heinz product since I figured out Teresa was part of the deal.
I’ve refused to buy Heinz products since the day I learned that the original Heinz owner(can’t remember his name) Left his wealth to Theresa who married the communist love John Kerry.
They produce good products but not good enough for me to sacrifice my principles!
Exactly.
Yep, good comment Yaelle.
Teresa Heiz Kerry, the heiress, as in SENATOR John Kerry’s wife.....PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY HEINZ PRODUCTS.
-——If you think pure logic-—
Whoops!! think?
Impossible when your brain is controlled by a knee jerk triggered by irrational fears based on pure emotion
Heinz=Kerry=bad=must be antiAmerican
Any statement mentioning Heinz and China triggers the knee jerk. The fact that growth in America is not presently possible is irrelevant and beyond comprehension of a knee jerked mind

Somebody give me the brand of a good-tasting tomato catsup that isn't regional and I'll throw my half-used Heinz bottle into the fiery furnace.
Leni
Maybe John Kerry can pay his taxes. Buy Hunts brand catsup or the Aldi brand at Aldi or Trader Joe’s brand. Aldi and Trader Joe’s is a German company owned by a Catholic family that is not pro-abortion like Heinz.
I stopped buying Heinz Ketchup, and avoiding anything associated with it since John Kerry’s failed campaign in 2004.
“concentrated on China where they make soy sauce.”
Heinz soy sauce? Yuck! I’ll stick with my Pearl River Bridge mushroom-flavored soy sauce thankyou! Or Happy Boy.
How about No Americans Buy any Heinz Products! Boycott them out of business—let the Chinese who make their stuff buy them and see how much profits they get—Or better yet—Place a tariff upon all Heinz products. If they don’t want to hire Americans—they should pay a price.
We all must make sacrifices. Is it really asking too much? lol!
Next your gonna tell me I can't go to Heinz Field to see my Steelers.
My nephew works there in the Burgh and they say they treat their employees well.
Besides, there is no other ketchup.
Here’s their other product names:
Heinz
Boston Market
TGI Fridays
Classico Pasta Sauce
Lea and Perrins sauce
Ore Ida
Quality Chef
DeliMex
Pudliszki
ABC soy sauce
Honig
Wattie’s
Plasmon (Italy baby food)

Yeah, well f*** you too, Bill.

We should start charging corporations for the costs of defending their interests worldwide, seeing as that’s where they’re moving the jobs. If they don’t want that defense, they’re free to let China or wherever the else they ALL want to move to take care of it.
Trader Joes = Aldi. They are owned by the same Germany company.
I quit using Heinz products when kerry ran for President.
Hunts is just fine for me.
where did it say they are moving jobs?
Correction “German Company”.
Did you somehow miss all the whining so many of the boycotted companies made a few years ago? Every dime they don’t make off of me is one less dime they have to destroy America. But, go ahead, support the enemy. Put money into Tides. If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
I have to agree with him. No business is going to hire with these idiots in Washington.
Chinese ketchup: now with more mercury oxide for that extra bright color!
Bump.

Sorry, but there ain’t no better ketchup than Heinz. I’ll boycott their other products, but not my ketchup.
LEAVE MY KETCHUP ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Obamanation administration at work against all Americans, destroying the economy and growing government and creating longer and longer unemployment lines and driving buisnessmen to hire illegals aliens or move overseas.
A well crafted plan for the communist adminsitration at work against all of us who love God, family and country.
[No one should do anything about this company because of anything having to do with John Kerry or his wife. Mrs. Kerry sold her shares years ago.]
Ketchup and politics are hot topics. I am glad that the Heinz curse is lifted now.
Boycott Heinz? Why? He’s right.
Don’t know if they sell in FLA. But redgold.com does sell online. I like their ketchup and it’s made just north of me.
Texas Pete, Mrs. Dash and occasional French’s Mustard...that should do it.
Teresa’s first husband (Heinz) was a Republican Senator the best I remember. I wonder how he would regard her being now married to a Democrat socialist (John Kerry), and Kerry living high off his dime. I don’t remember him as a RINO.
Have proudly boycotted Heinz since 2004.
“Teresas first husband (Heinz) was a Republican Senator...I wonder how he would regard her”.
Henry Hienz, is rolling over in his grave I am sure, the ground is full of fire nearby his headstone. It is a disgrace, truely.
