FLASH NEWS BULLETIN

THE "FEMALE CAPTAIN BLIGH" ESCAPES JUSTICE HORRIBLE HOLLY GRAF TO BE RETIRED IN-GRADE GETS GENERAL DISCHARGE BUT NO PUNISHMENT FOR EGREGIOUS CONDUCT - STAYS A CAPTAIN BUT AT LEAST WILL NEVER BE ADMIRAL - BOARD OF INQUIRY SPLIT ON VOTE 2-TO-1. ONE FEMALE ADMIRAL ON THREE-MEMBER PANEL - CREW OF COWPENS CONTACTS MILITARYCORRUPTION.COM CALLS GRAF SLUR "WORST SHIP ON WATERFRONT" A FLAT-OUT LIE - "WE WERE BEST, DESPITE HER."

The verdict is in, and Horrible Holly Graf has escaped justice. She will be retired in her present grade, despite a laundry list of offenses that would have cost a male captain his stripes months ago. Once again, the "double-standard" of justice has reared it's ugly head.

The "female Captain Bligh" is being retired with a general discharge. Even the PC-hobbled Navy couldn't put lipstick on that pig - to let her go out with a HONORABLE discharge - when she wreaked such havoc and broke so many regulations. If there is any solace in this at all, the most hated woman in the Navy will never be an admiral like "big sister," Robin Graf.

It is obvious that if a male captain had say, grabbed a female subordinate officer by the neck (physical assault, by any definition) and thrown hard objects at crew-members' heads, that person would have been put in a straight-jacket and kicked out of the service.

BOARD FAILS TO SEND MESSAGE GRAF'S CONDUCT SHOULD HAVE RESULTED IN LOSS OF RANK

We had hoped, with a Board of Inquiry consisting of three non-USNA grads, perhaps Graf would lose at least one stripe and the Navy would "send a message" to the Fleet that what she did will not be tolerated. But the BOI copped out. The vote was 2-to-1 that Graf committed misconduct. That means one member of the board incredibly could sit there and witness overwhelming evidence to the contrary and still, apparently, vote her gender.

At least it was a unanimous vote that the shrill screamer "committed conduct unbecoming an officer" for the "maltreatment and cruelty" shown to her crew as commanding officer of the cruiser, USS Cowpens. She was relieved of command of her ship earlier this year.

We have received messages from the COWPENS denouncing Graf's slur that the ship was "worst on the waterfront" and that she had whipped them into shape as "best in the Pacific."

"What she said was a flat-out lie," complained a longtime member of the crew. "We had passed all inspections with flying colors prior to her coming aboard, and still maintained our excellence, despite her reign of terror as captain."

The odd strategy of blaming her ship and crew for Graf's own troubles, paid off for "slash-and-burn" military defense attorney Charles Gittins. He is the biggest winner in all this, as anyone other than Graf would have lost one or two stripes and been kicked out of the Navy. He was able to salvage Graf's pension and retirement in-grade.

The findings come at the end of three days of testimony, in which the best witness for Graf the defense team could muster was the top female Navy chaplain who said Graf was "the most dedicated" officer she had ever seen in Naval service. We think she should have said "cruelest" or "craziest." That would have been more accurate.

Shame on the mainstream media, who avoided covering this embarrassment to feminism and "political correctness" like the plague.

Now, the findings, announced by Adm. Mark Buzby, will be forwarded to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, who is expected to rubber stamp them without comment.

Considering all of the hell she gave everyone on the ships she tyrannized on I’m surprised she just didn’t go missing one morning while out at sea. I guess today’s men are too weak to do anything about problems like this.

Don’t sully the name of Captain Bligh. He was a brilliant seaman who had one bad voyage. After he was booted off the Bounty, he and the men who stayed loyal to him managed to navigate several hundreds of miles over open water to a safe haven.

General Patton also greatly admired General Rommel. But Patton would have blown Rommel's brains out if he had the chance, and Rommel would have understood completely - and exchanged the opportunity himself, if he could.

Sides matter.

Nah, let them fight. When it’s over, the Marines buy the Navy ships for $1 and run it with half a crew(See USS Boxer LPH-4 and USS Princeton LPH-5).

One slight slap on the wrist is she is going to get a General discharge although I would have prefered a Dishonorable or Bad Conduct.

Thanks for that reality check. We "ring-knockers" don't defend poor leadership just for the sake of academy graduation.

In Capt Graf's case, there may have been a modicum of preferencial treatment or plum assignments afforded her due to her gender, but I can tell you she earned her command billets. In the "black shoe" world, it's a dog eat dog competitive environment and one does not stand out for being "nice".

We Naval aviators are much more refined.

Bligh’s original instructions included charting Torres Strait during passage. And despite not having a ship, he did.

What I've seen is that guys that with people issues at Annapolis continue their ways and don't get supported by their peers. It is much more likely that the offender is an accomplished butt shark and their sugar daddy is paving their way.

USNA Class of 1990. Beat Army.

FYI, officers cannot be reduced in rank to the enlisted grades.

Officers like Graf SHOULD BE REDUCED TO E1. I am an honorably discharged Army Vet. Made E5, and had an unblemished record-No loss of rank and no article 15s. During my time in the service, I saw alot of fine, capable officers, and not so fine and capable officers. When I was serving on the West Coast in the late eighties, the S3 of my battalion was a rather odious, profane character(An o4/Major) who had previously served as a Battery Commander as an o3/Captain. in the same battalion. What I am about to relate transpired before I was assigned to the Bn., and from what I was told this same Officer, while serving as a Battery commander actually kicked one of his soldiers who had fallen asleep while on night duty. And this Officer, from what I heard kicked that soldier more than once. Well, the officer was relieved, and what happened was conveniently swept under the carpet, and the relieved Captain was promoted to field grade rank! He should have been courtmartialed and busted down to his od green drawers. Anyway, sorry for digressing. Graf got off luckly, just like the odious s3 of my battalion.

I beg to differ Annapolis alumnus. Graf received much more than a modicum of preferential treatment. She retained her four stripes and her pension. Considering her horrible treatment of subordinates and inept handling of ships under her command, Graf should have been demoted at least two grades to Lieutenant Commander, or even busted all the way back to Ensign. I dont deny the fact that she earned her command billetts, but her subsequent record clearly indicates that she was A TOTAL FAILURE AS A SKIPPER. You also mentioned the fact that in the “black shoe” world (Surface Navy) it’s a dogeat dog competitive environment where one does not stand out for being nice. True, but Graf’s treatment of her Officers and Enlisted people was absolutely and totally shoddy, degrading, disrespectful and downright horrible! Graf went over the line when she frequently swore at her subordinates and spat and threw coffee mugs at them. Facts that you either ignored or disregarded. I guess Sailors stick together, regardless of the circumstances, eh? Oh, for the record, I served in the Army as an enlisted man. And I was HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SERGEANT, so I do know something about how the military operates, even though I was never a Sailor.

It took you from December 6th to today to come up with this??? If you read the entire thread, you will find that I was not commenting on her tour as CO of the cruiser...merely how she got there.

If you a such a seasoned veteran, then you should know that a court martial would have been required to reduce her in rank.

Oh, for the record, I served in the Navy as an officer. And I was HONORABLY RETIRED AS A CAPTAIN, so I DO know something about how the military operates, even if I was never a Soldier.

BTW, no need to shout at me with Caps Lock on.

Freegards and thanks for your service

Yes, Graf should have been court martialed. I neglected to mention that. Thought I made myself clear. Obviously I did not. Nobody’s perfect., Captain. Graf’s treatment of her subordinates was disgraceful, pure and simple. She was also an incompetent skipper.
