Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said if his children walked the streets of Phoenix they might look awfully suspicious to police. His wife, Columba, is from Mexico.

Harvard professor Robert Putnam told the same crowd of city officials from across the country at the Denver Convention Center on Saturday that his grandchildren might likewise draw suspicions. His daughter married a Latino man, he said.

Uh yeah. I think his son also had a criminal problem with the law that was more minor, Hey Jeb - Florida is broke and unemployment is through the roof thanks to illegals. On you watch to Jeb. POS RINO.

That’s why he’s not in the running for President and never will be.
At least not as a Republican...

there are solutions other than a law criminalizing illegal immigrants, he said.

He's so clueless, he doesn't even realize how stupid that statement is.

Illegal immigrants, by definition, are criminals.

"I think it's not right that they could be picked up just because of the way they look," Putnam said.

You're absolutely right that they shouldn't be picked up just because of the way they look. Of course that has nothing to do with the Arizona law. The law specifically states that the initial contact between law enforcement and the individual has to be based on some other legal purpose, and "the way they look" is specifically excluded from such legal purpose.

So since they can't be "picked up just because of the way they look" and we've eliminated that BS strawman, what about the law? OK, so they are stopped because of some infraction or suspicion of some infraction and it turns out they aren't carrying any of the forms of identification that they are required by federal and state laws to carry, should that reasonable suspicion that their status may be illegal give the authorities probable cause to inquire about their status in this country? ABSOLUTELY. So now, so sit down and shut the hell up!

Note to Jeb - if you want to run for POTUS as a Republican, you have to first pretend to be a conservative, and do your best to hide your RINO side. At least that’s how your Dad and Brother did it. Seems you have it backwards.

The only way these La Raza pimps can gin up broader opposition to the Arizona Law is to lie about it.

Unless his kids committed some other crime, they wouldn’t be “picked up.”

Note that while the headline cites Jeb Bush, the quote about kids being "picked up" because of "the way the look" is from some other idiot named Putnam.

“That is why he isn’t governor of Arizona.”

That is why he won’t be president of the US.

What an idiot. 42% of the population of Phoenix is Hispanic and 24% are foreign born.

Nice how he can’t look beyond the race of his own wife, so we have to have millions of illegal immigrants. Is his wife an illegal immigrant? No.

Well, now, let's look at that. Over the years I've seen plenty of folks right here on FR who will brand a person "illegal" based on nothing more than their names, or because they look hispanic. If you want to talk about folks who can't "look beyond the race of his wife," that's a pretty good place to start. It's a real phenomenon.

Whay are these people smiling? If you think providing 99 weeks of jobless benefits to someone is bad consider this group. Some of these folks have had a lifetime of benefits provided by the government. Many of the people pictured have never worked at a real job a day in their lives. Several have had businesses that would have never existed if not for their family government connections. Or they have had their businesses bailed out by the government.

Maybe we should stop welfare for the Republican Blue Bloods? Along with welfare for the Kennedys, the Clintons, the Obamas and any other familys that think they deserve access to the Treasury just because they can breath.

Go away Jeb Bush. Go away and take the family with you...

Maybe so, Jeb, but as long as they didn't commit any kind of crime, they'd be fine under Arizona law.

Good grief, I'm glad this moron has decided not to run for Prez.
