Giving tax cuts to the rich is Republicans’ “holy grail,” President Obama said Tuesday.
“Let me say that on the Republican side, this is their holy grail, these tax cuts for the wealthy,” Obama told reporters. “It seems to be their central economic doctrine.”

If only that were true... the Repubs went along on a stimulus package.. and increased the unemployment insurance for 2 million for over a year. And a bunch of goodies showered on the lower end of the economic spectrum. Are we Sweden yet?

It’s not the government’s job to decide who has too much, and who has too little money. That said, if you live in a big American city, own a house or aspire to, have children and want to educate them, 250K a year does not make you rich.

Ed Morrissy is making the “one termer” point. That the Left is apocolyptic over this deal, his base, and asks how many you know who regret voting for Obama? Plenty. How many voters have been won over by Obama? Zero. This equals one term.
Obama now has to work with Republicans, he needs to compromise, he needs to seek bipartisan solutions. And he plans to go about this, by childishly insulting the very people upon whom he is now dependent.

There are - the wrong ones. 2% decrease on the payroll tax... for the worker, the the employer. And other nonsense "tax cuts" for the lower classes.
Unfortunately, given what he has done with goosing the national debt and locking up our energy resources, I don't think we are going to see much visibility from tax cuts in the normal 18 months or so it usually takes. Plus, this really isn't a tax cut-- it is a deferral of a tax increase.
