Thank you for posting this thread in honor of The Greatest Generation. My son is now stationed at Scoefield Barracks and is with the 25th ID. He served 15 months in Iraq, and will be deploying to Afghanistan in April. In my humble opinion, the men and women who are serving, and have served since 9/11/01 are the newest members of the Greatest Generation. Unfortunately they have to fight a determined enemy, not only overseas, but also here at home - those who would call themselves Americans, but clearly hate America.
