This is why we should be promoting the tax-cut deal as the oft-promised, finally-delivered “Post-Partisanship” era of cooperation an compromise from the 2008 election.
It’s a complete no-win situation for the Dems. The independents won’t remember it in 2012 (they’ll vote straight pocketbook issues like they always do), the Republicans and TEA Party members won’t care, but the Dem Nutroots base will still be absolutely LIVID over it.
If they don’t like Obama selling out to the GOP then they just ought to keep their money and not give it to the Donks. That will show ‘em.
