Dems show signs of abandoning Obama elsewhere after frustration with tax deal
The Hill (h/t Jake Tapper on Twitter) ^ | 12/09/10 | Susan Crabtree

Incensed over President Obama’s tax compromise, House Democratic leaders are showing signs of abandoning the administration and going their own way on critical issues such as national security.

In a striking move, the appropriations committee late Wednesday attached a provision to a $1.1 trillion resolution to keep the government funded next year that would prevent Obama from spending any funds to try terrorism suspects in civilian court instead of military commissions.

The language would essentially prevent the closing of the detainee prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Some House Democrats viewed the move as an act of defiance and a direct demonstration of just how furious the caucus is with Obama’s decision to work with Republicans to extend the Bush-era tax cuts.

But many other Democrats, including Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), a member of the defense appropriations subcommittee, said they didn’t even know the provision was included.

Moran’s anger with the president boiled over in a short interview Thursday with The Hill about the provision and the tax debate held shortly after the Democratic caucus voted to reject Obama’s tax-cut deal.

“This is a lack of leadership on the part of Obama,” fumed Moran (D-Va.) “I don’t know where the f*** Obama is on this or anything else. They’re AWOL.”

If Obama has Clinton coming in to give him advice he must be desperate.
Here's a weirdness/bizarro/fantasy thought - Bill says "Barrack you must make a deal with Biden, you resign and he becomes president if he will appoint Hillary as VP - or we'll make public the birth certificate evidence we have on you."
After that takes place the Clintons quietly dispose of Biden, making Hillary president without having to get elected, making her chances of election in 2012 all the stronger especially if she is up against Palin.

And for two years the libs have been saying opposition to Obama was racist. Well then, lets apply the same standard today to these libs. They created the standard so now they must wear the racist label.

The Dems nominate and foist upon us a man-child with no leadership experience in his entire life and then have the gall to feign surprise when Obama does not lead.

You know, I do think Hillary’s problem is that she doesn’t want to have to campaign again.

If she could end up President without having to flip pancakes in Iowa, she’d do it in a heartbeat, I think.

Gee, I thought "passing a bill so that we can see what's in it" was a good thing.

These House democratic leaders must be utterly detached from reality. They don’t seem to understand quite yet that they’re completely irrelevant now!

Most Democrats said they didn't know what was in the Obamacare Bill and they didn't seem to mind that state of affairs. Now Moran is incensed about one minor provision in an appropriations bill he didn't know about. I think the man doth protest too much!

Maybe they noticed what happened with the recent terrorist trial that was held in New York in criminal court. The guy was convicted on ONE charge.

Obama’s margin of victory in 2008 was the moron vote. Now he’s losing the Moran Democrats...can the Moron Democrats be far behind?

You mean the ones waiting for their free cut of Obama’s ‘stash’?? I suspect they are right around the corner, I’m seeing a LOT of grumbling from liberals on the websites I frequent. Schadenfreude! ;-)

The Dems might have abandoned Obama, but as far as our country is concerned they own him, all of him.

Sorry, but I'm afraid that's just not possible. The Democrats' official rule book of Double Standards clearly states that Democrats can not be guilty of the same things they accuse Republicans of.

It's not racist for a Democrat to disagree with Obama, or even for one to hurl their worst invective at him. However, Republicans can be excoriated in the press, and professionally ruined for even thinking the same things.

Them's the rules, bud. Better luck next time.

Except I do not accept the Dem rules. And since the main stream media no longer controls the message we can also ignore their nullified rule book. It's a new day.

I know. I don't accept the "rules" either, but our side has yet to dislodge the Commies from the mainstream media and all of our major institutions. We'll get there, but we've got a long way to go.

In the meantime, expect the double standards in MSM reporting and broad public perceptions to continue.
