Be aware! Anything and everything you think you own belongs to the ‘ government’. Our Nation has been going that way for years and like cooking the frog we are where we are. Think about it . Do you really own your home when some level of government can tell you how much you you can afford to pay and/or say pay me or we i.e. government will take it. Think about it. Do you really own your vehicle when the governments can tax you for having it. Now think about this food law. Do you really own your child or are you just a caretaker for whatever the government decides is best for your child. All these features and more of government have become rooted in our social fabric because like the frog we were made to feel so comfortable; but be aware of what is actually yours and what is actually the government’s by virtue of control.

our kids the healthy futures they deserve

By 'our', I assume you are talking to Michelle and are referring to your two daughters. My kids are just that, mine. Not 'ours', and I will feed them exactly what I want. At least, as long as I still have the money to do so after feeding everyone else's, too.

They can introduce healthy food, but they can’t make it”cool” to eat it because it’s good for you. Perhaps they should instead hand out a few vouchers for cool clothes stores just for kids whose weight and strength is proportional to age/height.

Nah, that would be competitive, and they would have to exert effort to get fitter. What was I thinking?

. Some school offer Dinner too. It is so sick I can’t tell you. I am so sick and tired of feeding all these brats and their parents with food stamps. The kids get a 3 free meals at school so the parents don’t even have to spend the food stamp money on food for them. Of course more alcohol for the parents.

Among other things, the $4.5 billion measure provides more money to poor areas to subsidize free meals and requires schools to abide by health guidelines drafted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. To help offset the higher cost of including more fruits and vegetables, the bill increases the reimbursement rate for school lunches.

Idiot progressives at work...

They cause a problem and then solve it with another and another and another...

What is next -blood tests to verify proper nutrients are consumed -forced feeding in cases of noncompliance?

Everything these idiots do to provide "food" to the "undernourished masses" living in the most abundant bread basket in the world, diminishes the production of food, increases the cost of food and ultimately creates the opposite end result of the health justice utopia they "feel" necessary to attain and as well one only "they", in their elite infinite wisdom, can attain --All this by amassing power over individuals, central control, planning, regulation, and state imposition...

THEY WILL MAKE US HEALTHIER WHETHER WE WANT IT OR NOT

Hello idiots? --the communist model does not work...
