Are Teacher Sexual Abuse Cases On The Rise?

It was recently announced that a teacher from Regina High School in Iowa City facing a sex abuse charge involving a minor, has had his trial date moved to January 11, 2011. Fifty year old Robert Dolan is facing charges that he supplied alcohol to a seventeen year old boy, and when the boy passed out, he claims he woke up to Dolan fondling him.
This type of case involving teacher sexual abuse on a student completely boggles the mind. With all the daily stress parents have to worry about, the last thing parents want to contemplate is if they need to worry about their child being sexually abused by someone in a position of authority over them who we should be able to trust!
The list of teacher sexual abuse cases being reported is mind blowing. Teachers are of course supposed to be intelligent people, yet this just keeps becoming front page news!
But it's not just teachers who have cornered the market on sexual abuse.

Yes!! WE have homosexual perverts harassing kids daily, and openly I might add, with their promotion of their deviant lifestyle and setting the kids up for pederastic advances. Imagine if you were in grade school today and you are forceably required to listen to perverts who consume feces during acts of rimming and felching. Perverts who are the #1 vector for the spread of infectious diseases telling kids about their healthy, normal lifestyle.
That reminds me of a story I heard about a young boy who came home from school and told his father that he was feeling depressed. When his father asked him why, he admitted that he had a sexual relationship with one of his teachers. His dad said that he should not feel bad and that he, the father, had a teacher with whom he dreamed of having sex with and because his son was able to fulfill one of his fantasies he would treat him to a new bicycle. The boy said thanks, but his rear end was too sore.
We live in a culture that preaches against controlling impulses and curbing deviance, and those who practice discipline and good character are ridiculed. It’s completely foreseeable that a small number of people who are so inclined will interpret this as a ‘green light’, and feel bewildered when they’re punished for it.
1) Somewhere in the teacher training process the taboo is broken down regarding contact with students.
2) There is a concerted attempt to develop mistrust between institutions (education and the Catholic church) and the public.
I am a retired teacher and one of the biggest fears my peers and I had was the use of false allegations, by students, to "get back" at a teacher.
On the other side of the coin, there were several teachers that never left school and were living their lives vicariously through the students. I always felt that the lines were blurred for them regarding appropriate behavior towards students.
The last statistic I heard was that 2 million school children were sexually harassed in US public schools every year.
Response: Some gay friendly legislation would help eliminate any criminal charges against our teachers. In addition, the newsworthy nature of the act would be reduced leaving school districts alone to complete their mission! Always remember "Our Diversity Is Our Strength!"
Don't recall where I read it, but the number of teachers sexually abusing boys and girls (students) was much much higher than the number of priests who abused boys and girls. Of course that was not of interest to the MSM.
It is amazing both come from positions of considerable trust, but that is how they gain access ...

I was on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters for a while. Great organization but it is getting hard to find people who want to mentor these kids out of fear the kid will do something as you say. Actually had one case before I was involved where a guy was falsely accused but was cleared but he was never the same thereafter..He ended up having to move away.
Scouts are the same way. Scout leaders can no longer be alone with a child.
Shame we are heading this way.
I recall that there were 50 reports of priests sexually harrassing students over the past 50 years with an estimate of 100 over the last 50 years.
Compared to 2 million students harrassed by public school teachers in the last year.
And Obama's "Safe Schools Czar" pushes a book that is chock full of man-boy-love relationships as men tell the "wonderfulness" of their first time (often with someone much older while they were still a minor).

The public will ultimately be forced to pay for this culture of corruption (the Catholic Church, FLDS, etc are at least private entitities). Public school is public. There has been a tremendous coverup. At the same time the media has spent decades witchhunting the Pope.
When I was a kid, your Mom would warn you about taking candy from strangers or staying away from the “creepy” neighborhood guy. Today, we have to ask our kids constantly about people touching them or giving them a weird vibe. I even ask my 14 year old son..” do any of your teachers come on to you?” It is now a way of life. Just a thought.
And yet the Lavender Mafia seeks to have single homosexuals host unsupervised overnight visits with young boy scouts and attacks anyone who thinks this is wrong.
Read up on the "sex positive" proponents and their agenda. Feminists, socialists, and "psychologists" like Kinsey and Riech gave us this albatross.
It seeks to end all moral judgements over ALL sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s).
Likewise, as best said by Bill Ayers (who engaged in partner swapping and homosexuality while in the Weather Underground), they sought to "smash monogamy".
It is a "secular humanist" ideology that is decidedly antiChristian in its approach (they call religious moral teaching "sex negative" if that's a clue).
The oppose abstinence, not because "it doesn't work", but because they ideologically disagree with the concept of not acting on a sexual desire. They call that "unhealthy".
The son had been held in jail for 5 years and the family was exonerated after seven years but, by then the business and personal reputations had been destroyed. It was the longest trial in the history of the US.
