FL School Board Shooter Posted Suicide Note Railing Against the Rich, Linking to Media Matters
the blaze ^ | December 15, 2010 at 8:50am | Jonathon M. Seidl

Posted on 12/15/2010 7:40:01 AM PST by BenLurkin

Clay Duke, the man who opened fire on a Florida school board Tuesday, posted a “last testament” on Facebook decrying the wealthy and linking to a slew of progressive sites including theprogressivemind.info and MediaMatters.org.

The chilling Facebook statement, posted under the “About Clay” section, talks about being born poor and how the rich “take turns fleecing us”:

My Testament: Some people (the government sponsored media) will say I was evil, a monster (V)… no… I was just born poor in a country where the Wealthy manipulate, use, abuse, and economically enslave 95% of the population. Rich Republicans, Rich Democrats… same-same… rich… they take turns fleecing us… our few dollars… pyramiding the wealth for themselves. The 95%… the us, in US of A, are the neo slaves of the Global South. Our Masters, the Wealthy, do, as they like to us…

In addition to the note, Duke also includes a reference to class warfare:

“There’s class warfare, all right, but its my class, the rich class that’s making war and we’re winning” - Warren Buffet

And then issues a call to rise up, which seems to be from a poem titled “The Mask of Anarchy”:

Rise like lions after slumber In unvanquishable number. Shake your chains to earth like dew. Which in sleep has fallen on you. Ye are many – they are few.

Typical democratic loser. In the former land of opportunity he doesn't make it, so he blames everyone but the real culprit - himself. Obviously a core Democratic voter.

No doubt his testament will be read for four or five days over the MSM channels, with the attendant lectures about the heartless atavistic political movement known as progressivism also worked and reworked ad infinitum.

They had an armed guard who didn’t shoot until the gunman had started shooting. The guard should probably have started shooting as soon as the gun came out. Perhaps he wasn’t in the room.

There were also apparently quite a few cops in the building. Theres a CNN video showing quite a few armed people coming in shortly after the gunman was shot. Some of them had rifles.

Progressive Hate Speech is turning people in to PC Terrorists. They must be silenced. We should track down the perpetrators of this dangerous philosophy. You can’t yell Fire in a Theater. Shows like Olbermann and Shultz should be banned. These Liberals are very dangerous to society and us mainstream Conservative Centrists. We are the mainstream of America and they are the Far Left Lunatics.

February - a leftie professor at University of Alabama shoots up a staff meeting and a man flies into the IRS building in Texas leaving a note reciting the communist creed. September, and environ-nut takes hostages at the Discovery Channel building.

Now, we see yet another leftie loon on a murderous rampage.

Of course the MSM wants all these events to go down the memory hole. Instead, they want us to think about IMAGINED slights by conservatives.

The second that gun appeared in his hand there should have been two or more in his pump.

He had already shown his demeanor with the spray-paint and the gun just confirmed it. If the guard wasn't in the room until after the shooting started that is bordering criminal. Waiting to see if he might shoot leads to more deaths.

The fact he had zero skills was the fortunate thing.

Agreed. Definitely terrifying! The lunatic pointed the gun right at the guy, pulled the trigger and the school board member fell over as if he were shot dead.To see him interviewed later on Fox,without so much as a scratch, was testament to God's protecting love (and the poor marksmanship of the shooter).

The area this occurred in would generally be considered low risk. I’m surprised they had an armed guard at all.

Its my guess he wasn’t in the room since the gunman kicked the audience out of the room prior to his shooting.

The desk did a good job of stopping the rounds aimed at the people. That was also a factor.

Isn’t there also another left-wing lunatic burning down evil rich people’s homes somewhere in New England? He then spray paints ‘F…. the Rich’ to mark his terrorist act.

So, reading MediaMatters.org is driving it’s readers to violent outbursts and unexpected attacks...

The democrats have a long history of terrorism from the KKK, to antiwar terrorists, to greenie terrorist to now class warfare terrorists.

Of course they also have a long history of defending terrorists as well. They are a terrorist rights movement. Close Gitmo, Terrorists deserve civilian trials, terrorists deserve privacy in their communications, accusations against our troops, etc….

Where is your limit on 'low-risk'?

I don't have one. There are places I feel safer than most, but in this day and age, with what else is going on around us, there are not many I would consider 'low-risk'. Especially when you have (city, state, school, etc) officials open to public demonstrations.

Pensecola would be low risk in my mind. Low but not zero. The population there is relatively small town. The highest risk part is the tourist areas.

Low as compared to a larger city like Detroit.

If you have decided to train and obtain your CCW, you should have made these decisions beforehand. Remember, not only your life, but others may depend on what you do when the time comes. There won't be time to call 911 or get SWAT to show up, you might have to make that decision and fast.

If you have been to that edge, you know what you can do, and how efficiently you can do it. That's the difference between good people going home and bad people going to the morgue.

U.S. Marine Corps Rules:

1. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
2. Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough.
3. Have a plan.
4. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won't work.
5. Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
6. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun whose caliber does not start with a "4."
7. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
8. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral & diagonal preferred.)
9. Use cover or concealment as much as possible.
10. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
11. Always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
12. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.
13. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating your intention to shoot.

The guard came into the room BECAUSE he heard the first gunshot fired. I watched it on TV (one of the few times I have watched TV lately, other than football games).
