Gay activist and Iraq war veteran Lt. Dan Choi has been hospitalized following a breakdown, ABC News is reporting.
"Dan sends his unconditional love," said Choi's Twitter account, after linking to the ABC article.
Choi, a Tustin High graduate, was discharged from the New York Army National Guard in July under the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy he's been working to change. He was admitted to the psychiatric ward at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Brockton, Mass., ABC News stated.

Underlying warped psyche can easily lead to a breakdown at anytime...but, I can see why it would cause one to question the timing.
What a drama Queen! Anxiety attack. Yep, just the type to cover your backside in a firefight.
If this passes the military will go bottoms up.
“bottoms up.” LOL
New joint services saying: “Never leave your buddy’s behind.”
Dan save it for a queer bar.
poor Lt Dan is having flashbacks of chaining himself to the WH fence
the horror the horror
Klinger? Long time, no see! Well this guy certainly supports the military’s position that gays do not belong in the military with their fragile psyche. I am sure it has nothing to do with lt realizing he is afraid to die or serve his country during good times and bad. Hmm could he be a plant or just someone the left pulled out for their usual circus show? Nah, they would never. It takes a certain mental toughness to serve, we all know that on this forum. My brothers and sisters in arms, this guy does not represent you. When I served, we didn’t care about your ideology, only your loyalty and willingness to go the extra mile and carry the load, both mentally and physically.
One psychiatrist I have read suggests that homosexuals suffer depressive illness related incidents—i.e.anxiety requiring hospital,or prescribed anti-anxiety medication at least 4x the rest of the population. What we need is a Military force requiring more psychological Doctors, and techs(to accommodate an increase in mental cases And more units depleted by service
members on sick call for mental problems.More prescribed ,mind altering druggies inside and outside the Wire.(es verdad we are already seeing evidence of such just preparing the force)
And Congress want to legalize sodomy.
Sporting a mental illness as a “lifestyle choice” takes a toll on one’s psyche as well as their soul.
I have some rope and some razor blades I would like to send him, if I could get the correct address.
I hope he gets a midnight visit from the ghost of Gen. G. S. Patton!
My heart bleeds....Not
It is obvious he wants victim status to salve his desire to be a drama queen.
How does one expect this type to handle combat stress when worrying about press coverage cause hospitalization?
Maybe this is the gay equivalent of martyrdom. Straight guys jump on grenades, gay guys have hissie fits. It’s all the same when you think about it. /sarc
Oh, it’s no secret that psychiatric illness is much higher in the gay community. Histories of early sexual abuse are widespread in the gay population. Substance us is astronomically higher than in the general populace.
Coincidence = Not
OMG! That is sick! Funny, but sick!
Not quite sure why this is news.
Seems like just an every day event.
Ooooh, I’m just soooooo stressed!
This is what dems want to force on the military. Klinger was trying to get out of the military. These dramas queens want Folsom Street with medical benefits. Coming to a foxhole or barracks if Dems get their hatred of the military signed into law.
Makes me wanna scream.
Dan is more than likely fishing for a disability claim... “no body liked me because they thought I was gay” or how about... “all the stress of pretending to be straight”.
We should put all the queers in the same unit, send them to the fiercest fighting, repeat as necessary.
I miss Patton.
Leaving me to ask is the 250 Members of the US House—and 65 Senators part of the Gay Community— or do they just HATE what
they do not understand-i.e Morality , Religion, Patriotism,The US Military -Me?
