WASHINGTON -- In a landmark vote, the Senate on Saturday ended the Clinton-era ban on gays serving openly in the military, marking a major triumph for President Obama, liberals and the gay community.
The final vote to end the Pentagon's 1993 "don't ask, don't tell" policy was 65-31, drawing support from eight Republicans.
The bill now goes to the White House for Obama's signature. He is expected to sign the bill into law next week, a senior White House aide told Fox News.
“Although, I do think this country was founded on the idea of majority rule.”
WRONG. WE are not a Democracy, but a Republic. The rule of Law... NOT the rule of majority.
you know a few years ago I never had a problem with homosexuals but I saw them in a homosexual parade and the way they acted once they were together made me feel sick .
I then noticed that once they are in their groups they act like sick perverts but once they are away from their groups they try and deceive us into thinking they are just out for love.
In the end it is all about sex and how they get off and because of that they think that should be accepted as equal rights .
The more I found out about them and looked with open eyes instead of saying I have a friend who is a homosexual the more I found I was being conned by them
Well maybe we should give that equal right status to also men with animals or wives.
After all these people hang around at truck stops, public bathrooms etc and it is all about a quick get off.
And that is it. When they are in polite society they need to keep their deviant behavior to themselves. When they are able to be “open” they can’t help themselves.
IBTZ! TROLL ALERT! ZOT! DOUBLE ZOT!! AND TRIPLE ZOT!!!
If you didn’t see before, you now see what is of importance to the Democrats and RINO’s that voted for this, shoving aside the economy, high unemployment, increasing debt and such.
Nothing matters but appeasement of Gays who continue to force acceptance of their lifestyle choice upon others.
God Bless the USA? No, God Help the USA!
Piedmont Park in Atlanta is notorious for gay pick ups. The people that live around there have to pay for extra security because the sex is rampant, in parking lots, etc. Businesses have to pick up condoms every day before they open. People that live in high rises can hear it and see it! It is all gays, heterosexuals are NOT doing that! The gays want to equate their relationships with heterosexuals, yet never in my life have I heard of rampant hetero sex going on in parking lots and parks where they have to have special patrols.
That’s my understanding as well, but you can imagine that the DOD will be under great pressure to rapidly change the policy.
The libs know that Obama is the CIC. We do too. We need a new CIC, asap.
I found that out.
They really pretend to be someone else in front of the straight person but once in their groups they are all about sex etc.I worked as a truck driver delivering beer and had ot deliver to these homosexual bars.
It was sick and the comments they made were disgusting, now I am no prude and have served but the perverted comments were sick.
Oh, ye, of little faith. I've overturned before ... and yes, it had something to do with change ...
Thus I just don't see any way this change is ever going to be reversed ...
The eight Republicans who joined Democrats in passing the repeal were:
Sens. Scott Brown of Massachusetts
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Mark Kirk of Illinois
George Voinovich of Ohio
Richard Burr of North Carolina
John Ensign of Nevada
Susan Collins of Maine
Olympia Snowe of Maine.
Voinovich’s retiring, term runs out in Jan.
That will be an interesting article to alter in the UCMJ.
What will they do? Remove the same sex part and just make it illegal for heterosexuals? That’s discriminatory.
What will happen is, like in all other areas of our society, they’ll work 24/7 to sexualize everything thus making it a moot point.
Kids growing up today are being groomed as sex maniacs or sex objects or both. It is sad.
That's because the ones pushing it are REMF's who want to use the Military to continue forcing acceptance of their deviancy upon the rest of the nation.
They don't want to fight for America, but for the Gay Agenda. And, collect more freebies in the process.I wonder now how long before HIV & AID's becomes a "Service Connected" disability they will draw disability and free life health care from?
As are some forms of heterosexual activity.
no word of a lie.
My family and I went to MA for a visit, we took I95 and there is a road in MA called 128.
Anyway the MIL who we were going to see lived near and we had heard that a place called blue hills had to close at night but it was a nice drive on the way and off the highway.
Anyway it was closed at the time we got there because of the homosexuals and them having sex etc.
Anyway we wanted to freshen up before we got to the MIL and went to a public road side bathroom which runs adjacent to this blue hills.
We noticed at this bathroom there was about 7 or 8 men just standing there outside.
One man drive up and went in and a man followed him.
We sat there for a couple of minutes wondering if it were safe to go in because we did not know if it were drugs etc.
I mean a group of men some would be just standing there not talking to others etc.
Holy crap, it was a like a sausage factory of homosexuals , stopping off to have sex and then on to work.
sick it was , we drove off and asked a few people that night about it as they were locals.
They told us that all around there , the woods , the dog park the public bathrooms etc are all homosexuals for casual sex.
I said why does the police do not something about it and they told us that if they did the homosexual community and the GOV would clamp down on the cops an call them names etc.
It is sick and the mroe I found out about their agenda the more I am determined to fight them now
