Huge Pandora’s box has just opened.
they have no right to compel the United States Armed Forces to accept this
sick, just sick
Can the new congress offer a new bill to make it illegal to be a homosexual in the military?
Merry Christmas
As sure as I am that there will be problems, I’m even more certain that we won’t hear about them. No Pentagon stats will be released, or even compiled. Any reported incidents will have any mention of homosexuality washed out.
They think that there are no limits to federal power.
Heterosexual White Christians have no protections whatsoever that SPECIFIES they are to be afforded ANYTHING, so maybe it's time we all became "gay" (on paper)?
1/2 /s
Under Obamacare, we can also claim that being a "sex deviate" is a pre-existing condition? LOL
We are now moving into the Greek and Roman Empire-like collapse phase of our Country.
Disgusting
It is already against the rules, that was the whole point of don't ask, don't tell. Clinton didn't have the guts to make it legit to serve openly gay, so he created this policy which means the rules won't be enforced as long as you lay low. In other words, we won't ask and if you don't tell us as far as we're concerned we know nothing. But if for some reason we do find out, well, you're out. This is what we've had since the 90s.
I hate RINOs.
The numbers WILL be kept, trust me. And anybody who gets in trouble over this will likely be part of a media feeding frenzy immediately.
This will be trouble.

I read where someone said ‘you can’t help who you love’. There is no problem with loving but you don’t have to F everyone you love. The point is getting approval to F not to love. Will the military now permit soldiers to F each other in addition to just asking and telling?
There’s going to be a lot of the gay’s in the military slipping on on a bar of soap, just wait and see.
...”fundamental transformation of America”...
I fear my country just died.
Will not allowing gay soldiers to sleep in the same tent or share a bunk bed amount to discrimination ?
The world's greatest intellectual, Thomas Sowell, Ph.d, warned that there may come a day when the American military just won't take it anymore.
Anyone have the names of Republicans voting for this BS?
You are correct. The DoD is not compelled to abolish DADT. This bill leaves it up to their discretion. Or so I read while lurking on a disgruntled DU thread. So I could be wrong, but in this case I think the information is correct. DU tends to be very up to speed on homosexual issues. Since they are angry that the DoD gets the final word, I’m guessing [hoping!] it is true.
The world's greatest intellectual, Thomas Sowell, Ph.d, warned that there may come a day when the American military just won't take it anymore.
Since Obama “is moving hard to the center,” I suppose he’ll veto it?
"(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense. (b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall by punished as a court-martial may direct."
Will the military court-martial homosexuals?
There are already more than 35 nations with open service by homosexuals in their militaries including our nearest allies like the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Israelis. Our fighting men (and women) can handle this.
DADT was a poorly conceived policy. The only sensible solutions were open service or no service. The DADT nose-under-the-tent made "no service" to be no option.
Regardless of any actual ill effects of this coming policy change, the political reality will ensure news of any negative outcomes never reaches the People.
DON’T fear, You are smart, know THAT IT HAS JUST DIED.
FEAR GOD NOT MAN
Our leaders fear MAN NOT GOD.
The Consequences are around the corner.
It is called weeping and sowing
Fragging becomes fagging.
Keep the names of the ones that were recently voted in with Tea Party backing and fire them the next time around! We MUST show that we mean business about their sticking to their promises. That RAT in AK that is still in office is one of the ones doing this as well as Scott Brown and Kirk out of IL....those other RINOS are well known to all of us!
So, where is the bill so we can read it?
I’m not ready to say that this is the death of the country. Geez, get a grip. If one can be repealed, so can another. We just need to oust these fools and get a new prez. Don’t retreat, reload.
In addition to the six Republicans who voted for cloture on the repeal bill — Sens. Scott Brown (R-Mass), Susan Collins (R-Alaska), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and George Voinovich (R-Ohio) — Republicans Sens. Richard Burr (N.C.) and John Ensign (Nev.) voted for the final passage of the repeal bill. Collins had co-sponsored the repeal bill.
None of it changes human nature.
They didn’t think of that part.
If they decide now to “out” themselves that will have consequences. You cannot change human nature to fit liberal utopian BS.
DADT protected people in so many ways, mostly from themselves. It was the best solution given the situation Clinton created.
This blunts further America’s sword. We have been dulling it for years.

McCainiac and Graham didn’t have to dirty their hands by voting FOR the bill, as they were assured it already had enough RINO votes to pass.
I wonder if that means it might go back to what it was before DADT, homosexuals were actively searched out and discharged.
If the Republicans in the House have the courage, there are options:

The way I see it is if DADT is repealed the military should go back to the old rules. Repealing DADT should not mean a gay can openly serve. Then again, that’s assuming our politicians have brains.
The legals of USA have made abortion legal, taken prayer out of schools, legalized homosexuality in military, stealing from taxpayers to give to others has been established, etc, etc, etc.
Satan has come to kill/rob/destroy. That is our enemy and the master of lies/deception has his pawns working at the core to bring our God Bless America down.
They got Collins’ state (ME) wrong - someone probably mistook her for MooCowSki.
Alright. As of now we no longer have a military fighting force with a mission to defend the U.S. Instead, we have a giant social experiment. I don’t believe for a second that any of these yes-voting senators really have a clue about what they have just done.
Don’t be thilly! Nothing to worry about! Just give me a pink M-Thixteen! I’m ready to thoot!
Move over Marineths! Bruthie ith here!
Actually, in this country, they have *every* right.
The reports you’ll see in the media will be about the “terrible bigot” knocking the crap out of a gay guy who hit on him. And then all about the “bigot” getting kicked out.
I’ve never heard of a real-world homosexual dying to go in the service. And if it is happening outside my ken then I have to question the motive.
DADT repealed my fat arse...it has simply been transferred over.
Now any that are serving in the military, who have a religious or moral belief/objection against homosexuality— they best keep their mouth shut.
Giving one a right that’s not guaranteed under our constitution, while removing one that that was.
They could already serve, so long as they didn’t go out of their way to engage in sodomy and otherwise act on their homosexuality. This now lets them do that openly. Disgusting.
With Napolitano as homeland security chief and Obama as Potus who cares about national security...it’s all about political liberal agendas.
Not yet - but Scott Brown, Snowe, Collins, and Murkowski were indicating they would vote YES. No surprises.
Every single Republican Senator who voted for this monstrous, immoral, and anti-American piece of anal legislation MUST be defeated. Spare no effort, ever.
