What do you think the libs can say other then they have the votes? They had the votes for the increase of taxes on the rich and to pass the DREAM Act, close GITMO as well as the omnibus bill, right up until they didn’t have them.
It’s all posturing and this reporter (AP, so it’s already questionable)knows only what he was told to get into print by one of his Lefty pals in the Party.

It is very disappointing to hear that you will be voting yea with the Democrats to pass the New Start treaty. You don’t get it yet, do you? What have the Democrats promised you for your yea vote? This treaty is not in the best interests of the U.S. and is an attempt to disarm the U.S. completely and makes no strategic sense.
There is absolutely no reason to have this treaty fast tracked through the Senate at this time. It can wait until the next congress; there is no need to rush to a vote on this now. Ask yourself why Sen. Reid is courting you for this vote.
Why don’t you just come home to Mississippi and forget this vote. We loyal Mississippians and Americans will bring you back home to Mississippi with our vote if you vote yea on this.
As a Marine Corps Veteran I did not fight for this country for you to give it away with your support of this Treaty.
