Feds File Whistleblower Suit Against Mayo(Clinic)

The Department of Justice has filed a whistleblower complaint against Mayo Clinic .

"Dr. David Ketroser, the lead whistleblower in this case, is a physician and an attorney," says a Department of Justice statement provided by Mayo.

According to the justice department, "Mayo billed Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health care programs for surgical pathology services it never provided; specifically, the preparation and examination of human tissue slides."

Mayo spokesman Bryan Anderson said that "upon discovering a billing error in 2007, Mayo corrected it and voluntarily refunded $242,711 to the government. We worked with outside accounting experts to ensure this figure represented the complete and appropriate reimbursement amount. The error was identified and corrected long before Mayo became aware that a sealed complaint had been filed and before Mayo was notified that the Department of Justice was evaluating whether to become involved in the complaint."

But the Department of Justice writes in its complaint that "Mayo asserts that it has refunded some of the money received as a result of its false claims. It appears, however, that Mayo failed to make any refunds until November 2008, after the government had issued a subpoena in this matter. The government also asserts that Mayo’s refunds were inadequate in many respects."

The case is United States ex. Rel Ketroser, et al. v. Mayo Foundation, case No. 07-SC-4676 (D.Minn.) Read about it in Tuesday's print edition.

If it was paying the bill, surely that's not a problem. Guess we'll probably have to wait for the print edition.

This has to do with ILLINOIS. That state has a runaway plaintiff's bar. They've succeeded in running off all the surgeons ~ people in Illinois have to go to Indiana for heart surgery, organ transplants, deep splinters and babies.

When it comes to Mayo, they ran them off too so if you live in Illinois you have to go to Wisconsin or Minnesota for any of their special services.

A "couple" (one of those Democrat "couples") decided to bring a malpractice case against Mayo Clinic in Illinois even though Mayo has NO FACILITIES in Illinois.

The "couple" lost. Now, time for the corrupt plaintiff's bar in Illinois to get revenge against Mayo or anyone else who challenges their right to steal all your money.

Obviously Obama and his running dog lackeys are willing servants in this.

Mayo is both excellent and successful. That puts a target on their back for the looters.

If it were not for Mayo, I’d be dead.
