Andrea Mitchell Plays Press-Sec-For-A-Day For Napolitano, Biden

Amidst all the talk of Robert Gibbs' imminent departure as White House press secretary, could Andrea Mitchell be gunning for the gig? NBC's chief foreign affairs correspondent certainly gave a strong audition on today's Morning Joe, doing her best to paper over the latest stumbles by two gaffe-prone Obamaoids.

Mitchell first tried to paint an innocent gloss on Napolitano's curious boast that her homeland security minions are working "364 days a year" to keep the nation safe. Later, Mitchell spun with the best to explain away Biden's claim--at odds with official US policy--that the US will be "totally out" of Afghanistan by 2014, "come hell or high water."

Mitchell gave her game away with her facial expression at the very end of the video clip. After Joe Scarborough gives her a skeptical "come on" for her spinning, Andrea breaks into a wry smile. Cut me some slack, Scarborough, Andrea seems to be signalling. A gal's has got to give her best MSM try for the home team!

Won’t happen. She does the administration more good as a double agent/correspondent for NBC News, which is an “official” government-approved information provider.

Our US Military manages to do this 365 days a year. With someone as stupid as BIG SIS you gotta wonder how they manage to find they way to work each day..

Naptolitano was trying to explain that on the 365th day Homeland Security is concentrating on the additional 7 states that Obammma campaigned in during his run for the big seat

I remember back when Iowa leftie Tom Harkin was running for president. Andrea did such an ass-kissing interview with Harkin I thought she was going to give him a Lewinski on camera. (Yuk!) She’s never made any pretense of being “fair and balanced”, unless somebody calls her on it, then she rages about her impartiality. (although she can’t pronounce it)

Just look at that sweet, demure smile. 180 from the look of sheer hatred and venom on her face when she accosted Sarah Palin with the issue of Newsweak (sp. deliberate) that had Sarah on the cover wearing shorts.
