Harvard University will welcome ROTC back to campus now that Congress has repealed a ban on gays and lesbians serving openly in the military, university president Drew Faust said.The move will end a four-decade standoff between one of the nations most prestigious universities and its armed forces. The tension began over the Vietnam War and continued in recent years as university administrators, faculty, and students objected to what they saw as discrimination against gays and lesbians.

Think back to the debate between McCain & Obama regarding the draft and ROTC in colleges (Harvard may have been where the debate was held). Obama indicated he was open to the draft, remember that? This was meant to happen (for all of the obvious reasons). INDOCTRINATION; Harvard will be in charge.

I think the ROTC recruiters could do a world of good if they returned to Harvard with M2s and flamethrowers. Grazing fire and napalm would clean that place up nicely.
Four decades ago no one was worrying about gays in the military; Harvard students were worried about themselves being drafted and sent to VietNam. That’s why all those colleges haven’t had ROTC in four decades, it had nothing to do with DADT.
The UC Berkeley ROTC program has continuously produced US Army officers since its founding in 1870.
SURE Harvard will allow ROTC - now that they allow GAYS in the military!!!
