A right-wing New Jersey blogger has been sentenced to 33 months for making death threats against three federal judges in Illinois.
Hal Turner was sentenced today in Brooklyn federal court.
The case stemmed from the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in 2009 by three judges that upheld a district court decision dismissing lawsuits that challenged handgun bans in Chicago and Oak Park.
Turner protested the decision with inflammatory remarks posted on the Internet. Prosecutors said he crossed the line by declaring, "These judges must die."

I’d give him six months for excerpting his own material.
What am I, his stinking blog hit machine?
But the left can make major motion pictures fantasizing about assasinating President Bush and Codepink can attack Condi Rice on the floor of congress and that’s OK. I’m not defending Hal Turner but there does seem to be some inconsistency herre.
That seems relatively mild compared to some posts I’ve seen.
Hal is a flippin retard.
You are not part of the group that has that luxury. Many trolls of the Kenyan and Soros manually view and electronically monitor FR as I write this.
Obama and Holder let terrorists go for less than what Hal Turner did.
This is the new facism, and the net neutrality is the next step in the USSA.
Oh, and F you, Mr. Soros, you Nazi-collaborating maggot.
“For the first time, we’ll have enforceable rules of the road to preserve Internet freedom and openness,” FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said Tuesday morning. He said the rules offered “a strong and sensible frameworkone that protects Internet freedom and openness and promotes robust innovation and investment.”
What if 10,000 people did what Hal Turner did, all on the same day. Would they charge any? some? all??? Do they have 10,000 prison cells ready and waiting?
As a matter of fact, it's the ONLY kind he wants us to be aware of.
I guess the “left-winger” continues to go unidentified in the space of “journalism”.
How much jail time did left wing bloggers get for calling for the death of Bush and or right wing Independent judges?

Just because it wasn’t reported doesn’t mean it never occurred.

Death Threats Against Bush Ignored But Not For Obama
Why was no one ever arrested for threatening President Bush at protests, when they displayed signs in public that called for his death? Just to prove the difference of death threats just go and try to find a picture of a death threat made to Hussein Obama and post it on this blog. I assure you that you will find a ever ending supply of pictures showing death threats to President Bush.
Many readers may think, The answer is obvious: no protester was ever arrested for threatening Bush at a protest because no one ever threatened him at a protest.
The fact is that people threatened Bush at protests all the time by displaying signs and messages exactly as the anti-Obama protester just did in Maryland. Yet for reasons that are not clear, none of those Bush-threateners at protests was ever arrested, questioned, or investigated.
This is to prove beyond any doubt that threats to Bushs life were commonly displayed at public protests throughout his term as president.
On Wednesday, August 12, a man holding a sign that said Death to Obama at a town hall meeting in Maryland was detained and turned over to the Secret Service which will likely soon charge him with threatening the president.
Every threat to Obama is now vigorously pursued and dissected by the media and the blogs, and roundly condemned.
In the past, whenever someone threatened Bush at a protest, there was silence on the part of the media and the left-leaning blogs, and very little (if any) follow-through on the part of the Secret Service.
Death Threats Against Bush at Protests Ignored for Years
God bless the Secret Service detail charged with Pres. Bush’s safety. They succeeded in spite of the numerous threats.
You cannot threaten judges, the President, or pretty much anyone else. Anybody with a lick of common sense should know this.
On the other hand we have court rulings in Pennsylvania which state that you can PRAY that something bad happens to those people. Protected freedom of religion apparently.
What he posted was much worse-- he posted the judges' home addresses, posted maps showing where they lived, and talked about another judge in Chicago who had recently been murdered. It was more than the usual hyperbole we see on FR.
Yup, folks sure should have better sense.
Heck if I know.
I figure the whole lot of 'em are irresponsible.
The ones we have have around here who excerpt their own
material in order to get hits ought to be flogged at the mast.

Only through the legitimate, Constitutional political process will the battles be won - for either side. It is not to win to steal someone’s life and liberty.
If he had the gun in a case, and tickets to Chicago, that’d sound a lot like intent. With no intent, it's vapor crime. I honestly don't care if he provided pictures of the children of the judges, directions to their dear old granny who lives in the back woods, or whatnot. This is simply a method of usurping freedom of speech for political gains.
If they were serious, Al Franklin would be in jail right now. He's not. They're not.
>> Prosecutors said he crossed the line by declaring, “These judges must die.”
Hmmm... that’s just a statement of fact!
We ALL must die, including those judges and every other judge. And then the judgment!
He just told the truth, everyone must die eventually.
Hmmmm. President Bush's address in both Washington DC and in Texas were well known. Indeed Cindy Sheehan and a whole group of folks stayed right outside Bush's Texas residence for many days. Why was noone in that group arrested? It appears to be a case of different rules for different political parties.
He was entertaining, but it was pretty much all “Show” and no “Go”.
I know that he showed up at some skinhead and White Supremacist rallies, but past that, not much else happened.
Oh, and he did reveal at his trial that he was also a paid FBI informant and claimed that he was being set-up by the feds...
It’s not very smart to make “death threats” against Commie’RAT retards. GOPer goobers, no problem. Make threats against ‘RAT retards and you’re going to jail.
Show me the dirt bag POS husband of a battered woman rotting in jail for 33 months, because he told her on the phone that he was going to kill her. NO, when it is just us "cattle" being threatened, we are told that the police CANNOT DO ANYTHING. They wait until someone is attacked or dead. The best they do is take your money to file a restraining order.
They wasted money trying him three separate times? When the PTB want you in jail, they get it don’t they?
What did Al Franklin (I assume you meant Frankin) do?
The Powers That Be.....slang for “da man”
